I'm a huge fan of Rabin era Yes. I actually discovered Yes when I was about 10, a couple years before 90125 came out. I thought they were so strange that I couldn't help but listen to them. When Rabin joined the band and I heard 90125 I flipped - completely loved it. Again, it was s so strange to me...

I don't necessarily agree with this. Steve Howe wanted the Union line-up to continue, but his suggestion was that, instead of the entire band composing and playing on every song, that they should instead do half and half. In other words, some members play on certain songs whilst other members play o...

Rabin had actually tried to leave Yes on more than one occassion, but was talked out of it. Jon Anderson was a key element? I'm not sure what you mean by that. Rabin quit the band, he was not pushed out or asked to leave. Steve Howe was roped in after Rabin left. That means Rabin was not pushed out ...

Yeah, oddly enough, Squire & Rabin were concerned that the older, more obscure songs were not commercial enough. Kinda ironic, comsidering all the criticism Rabin gets for supposedly trying to make the band ultra-commercial. Also, Rabin didn't want Yes to release "Owner of a Lonely Heart" as he thou...

I discovered Yes, ELP & King Crimson about 1980 or 1981, when I was 10 years old. I fell in love with songs like "Awaken", "Turn of the Century" & "Madrigal", but when I heard "Owner of a Lonely Heart" I absolutely fell head over heels in love with the new Yes. Are you implying Trevor Rabin was fired from Yes? Trevor jumped ship of his own accord. He had been persuaded to stay before, but there was no changing his mind this time.
