Re: spring cleaning

My, my, my. After all this time! Been like 4 years now, hasn't it? Not sure what happened to this forum before, but it's great to be back. I've missed this place. I was on yesfans, com (technically still there but haven't posted in a couple years) but I prefer this forum as I was on here longer and f...

Re: Nice Yes shirt sighting

I noticed the shirt has the inner-sleeve CTTE art work in the YES lettering and the DRAMA art work below it. I never saw that one before. I just You-Tubed it and noticed it.

Re: Nice Yes shirt sighting

Very interesting. I would've never expected a band like that with their lead singer wearing a Yes shirt. The band is okay. Not my cup of tea, though, even though it's nice seeing someone wearing a Yes shirt. You can't go wrong with that famous logo.

Re: Found the most interesting thing today!

I couldn't even make out what they were singing, if you even want to call that singing. Sounds like some stupid shit someone would put up on MySpace, Facebook, or even YouTube with pictures of random objects just for a waste of cyberspace.

Re: Asia's "Phoenix" and "Omega"

Having listened to both albums I prefer "Phoenix" overall because of the musical content. The band got to go into some prog territory with the "Sleeping Giant/No Way Back/Reprise" tune and "Parallel Worlds/Vortex/Deya." "Orchard Of Mines," although a cover tune is also a highlight as well as "Never ...

Re: How Can YesFans Be So Cruel??

Want to see some more cruelty? Go to YesWorld, to the tour reviews page, click on all the shows and see all the cruelty from the morons who want to just spend their money go bitch about Yes performing with the current line-up. A lot of it makes me sick!

Re: Getting a bit sick and tired...

One more thing, why does YesWorld still say that Jon will not be part of the line-up of Yes touring with Peter Frampton? I can't figure that out.

Re: Best place to find accurate Yes lyrics?

Best place would be inside the album sleeves/CD inserts. I believe the lyrics are printed inside of all the band's CD's.

Getting a bit sick and tired...

...of all of the negativity coming from a lot of these so-called "fans." They go and see the band play and they piss and moan because Jon is not there. They're never hesitant to pick them apart piece by piece and I'm afraid of this bringing the band down. These purists seem so shocked that Jon's not...

Re: Some Yes what-ifs

Well, Billy was a touring member for the Talk tour, but that was it at that point. During the Keys period, he wasn't a member until Open Your Eyes was being recorded. I was just wondering what could've been had the band just found someone else to play the keyboards for the original tour that was sup...

Re: Some Yes what-ifs

One thing that caught my mind, I was listening to the KeyStudio CD a couple nights ago, and I was thinking, what if they would've just brought in a different keyboardist to play on the original planned tour for the Keys material? I know for most Yes fans, the ideal keyboard player is Rick Wakeman, b...

Re: Anyone Read Music Books?

and my nephew gave me a book about the Police for Christmas that's mainly pics (some very good ones), with a little bio and some quotes thrown in. I have that very same book, Diane. The Police 1978-1983. A lot of really great pictures from the band at their prime. In a way it's rather misleading be...

Re: Songs from Tsongas DVD

I watched this again a few nights ago and two things that are still strange to me is how they broke up "Mind Drive" when they could've (imho, should've) just played it in its entirety and also only playing just a teeny little footnote of "Footprints" instead of doing the whole thing. Just minor grip...

Some Yes what-ifs

What if Phil Collins actually auditioned for the drummer spot and got the gig back in '68? What if Peter Banks wasn't let go from the band? What if the 8-man Union touring line-up stayed together and recorded an album? What if the Going For The One album would've been recorded with Moraz instead of ...
