I'm CALLING! Help...if you can...

I'm trying to find some (HA! HA!) free tablature for "The Calling," "I am Waiting," and "State of Play." ANY resources? I don't mean general tab sites; I've checked a BUNCH, did a search on Google, etc. I need specific info...Does anyone know the tabs off hand, if you're unaware of where to fine the...

THE CALLING

Hey guys, I'm calling for some TALK guitar chords/tabs, specifically "The Calling," "I Am Waiting," "State of Play," and "Walls." I've checked Google and all, and a whole slew of common Yes tabs websites, so if any of you hard core fans out there know the chords/tabs to any of these songs, could you...

The Yes Album, Close to the Edge, or Fragile...?

So which is the best of the three? The Yes Album Close to the Edge Fragile Give specific song examples to support your vote--dissect the albums; it's more interesting that way and it doesn't turn into mindless one sentence voting If you feel its too close, then let's change the candidates... <hr>In ...

IN DEPTH Trevor Rabin Interview

Check this out, guys; straight from the latest NFTE issue. A great interview with Trevor and a lot of misconceptions corrected. I think this'll change everyone's perspective on his contribution to Yes. It did for me...

He's pretty humble here. The link:

THE TOP 15 YES SONGS

Okay. If you could make a collection of what is TO YOU the best Yes (And ABWH) material, (within 15 songs, and yes, AYAI and Endless Dream, etc. count as one song, don't worry.) what would they be? FORGET about getting a smattering of everything through the years, or trying to capture the variety of...

Here's a hard one: TYA or Fragile?

I'm not even sure yet how I feel...Someone try to convince me. I want to see if we can get some good reasons here. Right now I'm LEANING towards Fragile...

Miracle of Life is an epic song. The instrumentation is excellent! I Would Have Waited Forever", "Shock to the System", "Lift Me Up" are all my favorites as well. The latter part of "Silent Talking" is really cool; why didn't they do more with that last part instead of all the mediocre instrumental ...

TALK ROCKS! It's always been my favorite album, especially "The Calling" and "State of Play"--is that "high time flying" or what? FUN THOUGHTS: It'd be great to make it a 10-tracker with "Miracle of Life" between "Where Will You Be" and "Silent Spring". Other TALK hopefuls: (songs I think would fit ...

Thanks, tardistraveller...Yup, new to YesTalk, but not to YES. Of course there is non-Rabin work I love. Rabin's stuff just catches my ear more. I love "And You and I" "Rythym of Love" and "Brother of Mine" off of ABWH among others. OPEN YOUR EYES and THE LADDER are favorite albums as well...To be h...

Okay. I think Steve Howe is great. I really do. Yes Album is amazing. In response to YesJo and in agreement with, Trevor did NOT steal from Jon. In fact, I think it was a relief to hear someone besides Jon actually making an EFFORT to get some passionate vocals on an album. It sounds great having th...

The first three tracks are probably my favorite...I like New Language and Hep Yada (sometimes) Never really my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth choice to pop into my CD player...I love all their albums, but even Open Your Eyes is better than the Ladder. At least they sound remotely inte...

TALK! Talk EASILY beats The Ladder IMHO. Much more interesting, dynamic, and passionate. They're really into their music. The Ladder can be discombobulated at times. The Calling is one of Yes' Top Ten in my opinion. I am Waiting is beautiful. Real Love really only gets good when Trevor finally stops...

You demonstrate a good knowledge of the gospel, Terry...are you a Christian (I am)? I appreciated your thorough analysis of the song, and it doesn't sound like anyone else has really given as much thought to it, so we should probably be giving more specific refutations of the lines' meanings. I agre...

TALK This album has got some solid bookends! Granted, the stuff in between is weaker (but still great in my opinion), but the album overall just makes you want to smile. This is the fruit of two men with different visions for the band coming together in a seamless effort - beautiful. As so many have...

Very good points, psychopomp...I agree. You're right about Jon...key example in '90-'91, when ABWH was struggling to write a single, and Jon humbled himself and called the one guy he knew could come up with a catchy tune: Trevor Rabin. I think many of us would feel the same way Jon and Trevor do. At...

I guess I'm biased towards Talk because it holds a lot of sentimental value (Almost every song brings back a certain time of my life, or certain people). I agree topographic...Alan's drumming is kickin' on both albums. One part that I always try to keep up with is at the end of "The Calling", where ...

Both Talk and BG are great albums. Talk has a great mix of progressive and pop songs, just to give you a feel of the style. This is the album I like new people to Yes to hear first, because it goes both ways.

I think you misunderstand me...This isn't an album review: I'm not arguing which is BETTER, rather, which do YOU enjoy more? It makes it really hard because they both have four REALLY good songs. I try not to argue about what music is BETTER. That's all relative, from a point of preference against p...

I remember having a friend in the car recently (someone who was really into the music of today - punk rock, rap, hip hop) and set "Rhythm of Love" going. The drums and that awesome riff kicked in, and he was digging it! "Machine Messiah" and "Changes" proved to be future favorites for him. It's grea...

Talk is a good combo of pop and prog, greenglade. I find it's a great "intro to Yes" album because someone can go either way with it. Talk is definitely the highlight album of the '90s for Yes...better than Open Your Eyes or The Ladder at least. I still think OYE is a pretty rockin' album. Sure it's...

Terry, I respect your opinion and can definitely see your point of view. I agree, Talk would've been much cooler had their album art been a little more sophisticated, but I think they took what they could get, because (I thought I heard this, probably wrong) Roger Dean wasn't available or something....
