Cheap camera work

I love the camera work on Yessongs, the video. the distorted colors and the film quality make it seem so authentic. It is almost as if it was a bootleg. (the film quality and picture quality is the same as other 70's movies and shows, like "chips"). I am particularly a fan of YIND, the encore (see t...

ORder of the universe is really good on the ABWH release. But YIND blows the mind. I recommend the video Yessongs over the recording, because as I wrote, the video is from "scratch" whereas the recording starts the tune midway through the opening jam. I mean, I just love the way Jon starts the tambo...

ahh, a good argument. definitely a rival scene. Athough, I think those plants are not growing rapidly. rather, they are sorts of life forms that 'reach out' into the seawater to grasp and pull in their prey. In any case, I have those images of the algae and other marine life forms burned deeply in m...

my favorite

in the spirit of the fine reviews of Live Yes, I just finished reminding myself of how much I like Yessongs. In particular, I direct your attention to my favorite scene(I think- because they are all favorites at some point). It is the encore, where Yes performs Yours Is No Disgrace from what I call ...

bootleggin'

Hi. "L" here (short for eliot) I know we are not supposed to record them, but does Yes permit photographing their shows? It seems there are a lot of "images" on yesnet. In any case, I strongly urge bootlegging at any show. I am glad this site has a 'bootlegs' board, because its a good thing to do. I...

thanks for the 'inside' info, it is useful. however, I still submit the idea that an Agent's authority can be limited with secific instructions from the management, inturn from the band. for example: "DOnt book this band at any venue with a mcDonalds and heavy security' or "book this band at outdoor...

so true. an it is getting worse, not better. some venues are not even worth attending, for they are so regulated, they can seriously compromise a show. I mean, Yes has a cult following that dances and lights up at concerts. Not anymore. the 'corporate' venues are strictly concerned with maximizing p...

hmm. I am not sure I want to blow the money on this one, especially because Steve Howe seems unsure too. And, the money may be better spent on expanding my YES collection. We'll see. I guess, like many opinionated Yesfans, I keep hoping that this band will get its managements' act together. They sho...

that must have been a good show. I mean, I certainly enjoy the live recordings from the 70's. I sure envy you, since I was too young. But I saw them in the round in 1991 at the Richfield coliseum near cleveland. I was first exposed to Yes at the 90125 album, and was not a fan past their mtv exposure...

hey, I am an Ohio Yeshead too, and am wondering, when you saw them thrice in Ohio, were the setlists identical?

(Aside, I saw Rush twice, cleveland and columbus on the Presto tour, and much to my disappointment the sets were identical, even down to the medley at the encore.)
