More on Wakeman and Non-Wakey material

this is from a Circus magazine interview 1977: As Anderson promised, the band are not performing anything from _Relayer_ or _Topographic_, in reverence to Rick Wakeman's wishes(!!!!!!!!!), concentrating on the highly successful new LP plus old faves all the way from "Yours Is No Disgrace" through "C...

ALAN WHITE...singing?

I just read the "Ritual" thread, and I was reminded of this question, which I have had for a while. Is it my imagination, or did Alan White do some backup singing sometime during the history of Yes? Could anyone tell me what songs, what tours Alan sang on? I know he played keyboards on the Mag tour.

Help Identifying a show

Many years ago, a friend had a show from the 78-79 era during which Steve Howe got so mad at his malfunctioning slide guitar that he kicked it off stage during Siberian Khatru. Then he had to play And You and I with a regular guitar. I did hear this tape and the memory is still fresh after 17 years ...

PURPLE WOLFHOUNDS UNITE! Sophomore Effort

Sorry, I thought we needed a new thread. ED, IN2Yes Could you-all or somebody compile the requests for the PW Sophomore Effort from the "So What's Next" thread into a list so that we can all vote? I guess a more pertinent question would be, "Ed, have you completed your mastering of ST?" Are you even...

OK SOMEBODY HAS TO SPEAK

Why don't we restart the voting process? Everyone gets 3 votes, then we tally those up and vote for the winner. My Choices:
1. Astral Traveller
2. Changes
3. To Be Over

I would be glad to contribute bass to any of these or whatever we vote on.

Phil Collins says in "The Book of Genesis" that he was offered a position in Yes when Bruford left. I'll have to say the answer is "4" because both Anderson and Squire play drums during the middle of "The Ancient" on the QPR video. Also, wasn't there an extra drummer during the 90125 days? wait that...

From: nfte.org/fy:
Bruford leaves the band recruits Tony O'Riley, formerly of the Koobas. For about a week a drummer named Dave Potts also rehearsed with them.

I'm bettin the farm that they'll play pieces which have already featured an orchestra...No Opportunity (which I love! featuring the cowboy movie bridge), Mood for a Day(the only piece on the orchestral album I can stomach) Harold Land (with the shameless ripoff of Holst's Jupiter). I would also bet ...

I saw them in 1984 in Greensboro, NC. The surprise encore was "Gimme some Lovin"...I couldn't believe they played it! I'll never forget how loud that show was, especially "Hold On".
