Re: They are IN!!!!!!

They did not mention Peter Banks though. I think he deserves to be inducted as well.

Re: HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLO AGAIN

Sounds like a plan to me. I'm in.

From the clips I've seen on Youtube, Downes' playing sound sloppy.
Oliver back or Igor even would bebetter.

Re: rnr hof voting

Welcome to yestalk! We used to be a lively large crowd, then something happened and the site was down for some years. We are trying to get the gang back together again but it takes time. It has been discussed before and it would have been nice to see Yes inducted. Then, as some has said, Yes are big...

Re: Igor, the discussion

The Ladder was the first real Yes album since Tormato or perhaps Drama IMO
Especially the keyboard sounds were a fresh reminder of the classic Yes era.
Too bad Igor could not keep his hands on the keys, he would have been a 'keyper'. :-)

Re: Our new album officially released yesterday

I see what you mean. I've more or less grown tired of the idea of being in a band. It is no longer that important. Playing live with a band. or solo, is also something I can live without knowing the hazzle of packing gear and travel. So, last spring I got myself the Presonus Studio One software and ...

Re: Dear Chris

I once met Chris, and the rest of the band, in june 2004 at a fan meeting in Stockholm arranged by the Swedish Yessociety. We were all waiting in the hired banquet hall at Sheraton for the band to appear as promised. Jon was first to arrive and did so on his own and spent a little time with us. The ...

Re: What now?

Instinctly I feel there should be no more Yes. Other members being replaced worked out in the end, and the changes was somehow accepted, but nobody can fill Chris' shoes. ABWH was not the same without Chris no matter how good Levin or Berlin are. Now more than ever it is clear how integral part of t...

Wellwishes for Chris

For heaven's sake, Chris has been diagnosted with AEL, Acute Erythroid Leukemia, wich is a rare form of leuchemia. As happytheman informed in Tour and Concert Talk, Billy Sheerwood will cover for him during next tour. But if worse comes to worse...the prognose for AEL is apparantly poor. Wishing you...

Mine too. Or should I say, one of my favourites.
However, it was very bold of them to do this.

Cruise To The Edge

Did anybody here go on one of these prog cruises?

It seems like a fantastic vacation. If I lived closer and had the time and money...
Now here are some bold and brave (?)people who had all the above but still could not get enough of Yes music.

Re: It's official, we're a REAL band now

Glad you enjoyed it. We who participated had a great time doing it! Ed did an amazing job editing all the individual pieces together as they were recorded in different parts of the world and mailed to him. The future plans have been discussed since even before Starship Trooper was finished in 2003. ...

Re: Some Yes what-ifs

Welcome to Yestalk Jedi Catt!
This used to be the coolest place for yesfans. At the time it's fairly slow, since the board has been down for some years and just reopened.

Good to see you surface again as well DianeI

What if we could get this place back to the heights of its glory days.

Re: Hello again

Since Yestalk was down for some years, this is a process that will take time I believe.
But I will not surrender to the thought that the best days of Yestalk belong to the past.
One by one old members show up. Somehow they'll find their way home!

Re: New Yes Live box set

I have also lost interest in live albums. If each of these CD's had been from different eras, maybe I would have been tickled by this offer. I can see the idea behind this though, as the playfulness in the band really bloomed in how they often improvised and jammed during the shows. Especially Rick ...

Trying to be the ever optimist I refuse to let all hope go.
The ship still floats. We just have to search all islands to find the
lost crew members and get them back onboard.
It might take some time so

Re: Merry Christmas and a hopeful new year

Merry belated Christmas to one and all and a Happy New Year. I too have a feeling the last album is a step back. I fear they are running out of strong musical ideas. RT Baker was not the best choice to produce the album. He's left too big a mark on the final result. The songs on Heaven and Earth are...
