Well, my ex was a Yes fan - not quite as fanatical as me, but close.

After reading about the successful marriages here with non-Yes fans, maybe that wasn't such a good thing? Who knows!

That's interesting to hear. I'm new to this site, and wondered about the slow response time. Takes a while for things to post.

Cashew wine? Sounds totally bizarre!

Haven't drunk much wine in recent years, but had the occasion recently to share a bottle with a co-worker. Was Blackstone Merlot - totally smooth. Would go very good with some Yes music, I think!

Heck, yes! I'd pay a little extra to make sure I get good concert seats! That alone would be worth it. I'm tired of scalpers buying up the good ones. And the "internet presale" on the 2002 tour was a joke - seats were terribly far back. So, yes - ensure me great seats, and I'm there!

Chris - my condolences about the loss of your father-in-law. Sounds like you were a real blessing to him. And what am I doing? Well, currently I'm surfing YesTalk! Well, I am definitely not a closet Yes fan! I wear my T-shirts proudly, and talk Yes with anyone who will listen! All my friends and family know about my visiting fan sites, and if you ride in my car you will normally hear Yes music! Everyone at work knows if I've been to a concert I'll be high for ...

Big Generator was the low point of Yes for me. I first listened to it at my cousin's house, and after hearing it, was so disappointed that I didn't buy it. I did see the tour however, and the songs translated better live. This past year, in an effort to complete my Yes collection, I finally bought B...

I too saw the Eagles open for Yes in 1972 - the Memphis show. I had seen the Eagles earlier in the summer open for Procol Harum, and was not impressed. Here was a band that had only had one hit at the time (Take It Easy), and they were standing on stage like they were gods or something. Their seemin...

Well, as far as Steve solo works go, Mood for a Day was my first listen, and I still love it! I also agree with Independently Whole and Hammar about Surface Tension and the Vivaldi piece - those are also among my favorites. Favorite pieces with Yes would have to be Turn of the Century, The Ancient, ...

My therapy is always Yes music! I don't watch the news - hear quite enough about the war, etc. by seeing headlines and hearing others talk about it. Yes music is always positive and uplifting!

Well, I am a fan of Dr. Who, and always thought it would be cool to travel with the Doctor in the Tardis (Time and Relative Dimensions in Space), hence tardistraveler.

In the tardis - I could go anywhere, anywhen! Even back to 1974 to see the Tales tour again!

Why do I love Yes so much? Because I transcend with their music - plain and simple. It takes me to a place beyond this earth, beyond myself. I went to my first concert with my friend's mother - Herman's Hermits! However, she was cool and let us sit by ourselves, a few rows in front of her. Gosh - I've got so many concert stories - where to begin? I guess the funniest thing I've ever seen at a Yes concert was at the Atlanta show last year - August. Well, another Yes concert memory - The morning after the Tormato tour, I had gone downtown to watch a friend run in a 10K race. I have received a number of boots recently, and have been listening to those more! Got a copy of the Atlanta 8/13/02 show - the one I attended - so that's a lot of fun. Also have the Chicago 2002 show -where they did Nine Voices! And the Wakeman XM show! So, more Yes and Yes-related choices for me!

Well, for me it definitely is the Tales tour - Atlanta, Georgia Tech Coliseum, 2/11/74. I bought this album the day it was released (on vinyl). It is totally amazing and I NEVER tire of it! Absolutely heaven on earth!

I always come back to Ritual:
