Re: The Moody Blues

I need to check on Ray Thomas' status. Last I heard, he wasn't fairing too well.

Re: Please Welcome Yet Another Change

Ken, unless I hear from Ed, this 'rule' must have been in place since the site's inception or relatively close to it. When he's here, not much gets by him, so I say keep her going. No problemos!

Re: Favorite Soundtracks / Film Scores

You folks might find this one kinda strange but my favorite score has always been, "Laura's Theme" from Doctor Zhivago. Am I dating myself or what?

Re: What about RUSH?

Admittedly, before Sound Chaser took over this forum, I deliberately left RUSH out. The reason? RUSH is still a major draw and as far as I'm concerned, the third greatest band that has ever been after YES and Zeppelin. Again, however, it is for that reason I left them out though they have been recor...

Re: Should Jon take a stand like Roger Waters at Coachella Fesival?

Ten points for the Zeppelin ( Page ) comment. Lol, very good! Actually, GF makes a good point regarding Roger's not-so subtle political display. It was a good message.. However, Jon is much more obscure in his approach and I wouldn't want him to alter that in any way. Roger is Roger and his 'stateme...

Re: TREVOR!TERVOR!

No, but not in an anti-Trevor way. Steve was responsible for so much of YES' great material and it was due to his guitar playing that I became hooked ( well, the vocals, drums and Chris' thunderous bass as well ).

Re: New YES material?!

OPEN YOUR EYES...well, I agree with that one, but THE LADDER, nope, great stuff. Actually, if they do it and I think they will, it will be mostly epics from what I gather. Still, Terry's right. We'll just have to wait and see. Hey, how about that animated flick with YES background music...anyone rem...

Re: What about Zappa

Didn't care for him one bit, God bless his soul. I never found anything that was truly melodic, just a bunch of noise. Oh well, Best of luck to Moon Unit and Dweezel(sp).

Re: Procol Harum

"Whiskey Train" does it for me. Admittedly, they weren't a magnificent band, but they did achieve a unique sound that did appeal to quite a few. They were part of an era more than anything. An era of experimentation with new sounds. I certainly respect your opinion, Richard as I'm sure many share it.

Procol Harum

Procol Harum was a British rock band, formed in the 1960s, who built an important foundation for what would become progressive rock, or perhaps more closely, symphonic rock. They are best known for their 1967 hit single "A Whiter Shade of Pale", which is not only a regular item on classic singles po...

Re: Non-Yes cover: Rush - Subdivisions

Kind of, Relayer. Sudivisions between society, the rich and the poor, cliques and non-conformity. There is just so much to this great song! RUSH nailed it when they came up with this one. Chris is right on the money as well.

Damn, ksdb, we've altered your format a tad...sorry ol' chap!

Hi there, Amy! Good to see you! Bloody good of you to accept Richard. Now let me finalize some changes and we'll be good to go! Yippee!!
Chris, Ed has no doubt seen Ken's Gif and has not voiced a word of complaint to me, so I assume it's okay. You may wish to get up with Ken and see how he managed it.
