Welcome young Steve, or should I say Koo Koo ca-choo? So are you here to tell us that Gen X + 'ers actually may have some musical hope? Or are you just a freak boy? Also, I heard a rumor that you teamed with a couple of extremely talented geezers for an incredible version of Spock's Beard's June at ...

Well *I* certainly like it. Walrus is right about a darker sound. Neal sort of growls this one out. The song has a great groove, and I think the Beard does a lot to show it's adapability, which is the trademark of truly good writing. The song stands on it's own.

Missed you in chat Ed. Loved your rendition of was it Mood for a day? Damned burned out brain cells! No, it was the CLAP. I remember now.

I do not dispute for one minute that the British first wave of prog was just that, and that all subsequent prog is forever tied to it in heritage. And further, it has always truly amazed me that such a small place could be the birthplace of so much wonderful music. I just want to give a nod to those...

Are you guys all living in a time warp??? That may have been true for the first wave of prog, but not so today. In the current wave of prog I'd consider Spock's Beard (USA), The Flower Kings (Sweden), Dream Theater (USA), Vanden Plas (Germany), and Pain of Salvation (Sweden) the frontrunners. <hr>->...

There are always gonna be a couple of songs that are designed to bring the crowd to it's feet. Why not wait for those? You know what? I guess the optimum for me would be if the crowd was just as courteous and attentive as a crowd that goes to see a symphony orchestra (except maybe allowing spleefage...

You don't have to sit down for my kid, but you damn well better for ME. One of the things I hate most at a prog concert is people who insist on standing up through the entire show so they can "dance". If you wanna freakin dance, go to your local bar/meat market. I came to listen and concentrate on m...

Their latest album "SNOW" is being mastered right now and is due out lat...

Classic Prog Weekend on the Matinee...

This weekend the theme for PapaJ's Matinee will be Classic Prog, or what is considered to be the first wave of prog music. This would roughly include music from the 60's through about 1980. We will be playing songs from all the heavyweights including Genesis, Yes, ELP, Gentle Giant, and Kansas as we...
