Re: This and That IV

That's a toughie - both are excellent, but as you say, very different.

I think I'll have to give the nod to Discipline - their first outing with the lineup that has mainly lasted since then. Not a clunker in the bunch, IMO.

Re: New Kitties!

Yeah - apparently were born to one of the outdoor cats that roam the neighborhood - I'm pretty sure "Mom" had just weaned them and went on her way. They were pretty pathetic on Saturday - starving and thirsty, and they're SOOOOO tiny - the vet said they were no more than 5-6 weeks old. So, they've g...

New Kitties!

My son and friends went for a walk early Saturday morning, and returned with these guys! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v186/tardistraveler/Pets/RestorFiona20100613d.jpg They've been named Restor the Brave, and Fiona Fudderwagon . . . Restor is on top, and Fiona is underneath. They're real sweeti...

Re: "Re-creating Tour"

All those years of vegetarian eating must give him lots of energy!

Plus, he just seems to truly LOVE what he does - I get the impression he'd rather be playing the guitar than most anything else!

Re: This and That IV

I'd have to give the nod to ABWH in my previous question. It's definitely an album worth listening to, and some of the tracks are pretty "classic" Yes . . . ;) You should get a copy of it, Hallway! Good suggestion - let's try another band with these comparisons . . . how about King Crimson? In the C...

Re: Nice Yes shirt sighting

Yeah, I liked the band. Not every band plays progressive rock . . . ;) They seemed a cut above average, and looked like they'd be fun to see live. I caught a full view of the shirt, and did a screen shot - maybe we can tell more about it from this . . . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v186/tardist...

Re: This and That IV

The Ladder - hands down!

I'm one of the few people who is totally in love with that album - it's in my regular rotation here at work . . . ;)

Backtracking a little, but I thought of this one a couple of posts ago . . .

ABWH or Union?

Re: My book 'Yes in Australia' now available.

Sorry about that! Regarding nAmazon - you need a US bank account to operate through Amazon as a small trader - not an option from Australia LOL - that's OK . . . I'm just glad to get a copy of this! I know you worked very hard on it, and it's special not only because of the subject matter, but also...

Re: This and That IV

Overall, I'd say Talk, although there are some nice songs on Union. But Talk was the stronger effort, IMO.

It was very easy to order through the website - they accept Paypal, which was nice - as easy to order as through Amazon, although there was no "Free Super Saver Shipping"! lol

Re: Asia's "Phoenix" and "Omega"

Josh, I really like Payne-era Asia as well - and agree that they were pushing the envelope a bit more musically than the "original" Asia.

I too am looking forward to that ELP review . . . we'll see how it goes . . .
