Wah-wah

This effect was used only in two songs from the Offord days.... which songs?

I'm currently away from my CD collection, so I'm not sure if Eddie did TYA. If so, I'd say Yours Is No Disgrace and I believe Squire used the wah pedal on CttE (the song) when they come out of the Church Organ part.

Half right, Khal! The question is about Steve, so no Squire on the answer... One song to go...

my guess is machine messiah. offord is credited for producing the backing tracks on drama. there is a wah-wah used in the 9/4 instrumental part right after "...when they say they will return" and when they come back to the heavy intro there´s a wah-wah all over.

Really? I've never noticed the song since I never really like the album itself. But let me prove your answer.

I don't remember what was Eddie's job on that album... but I'm refering to TYA-...-Relayer days.

well renato, then i have to say five percent for nothing, it sure sounds like steve is using that pedal on that one. and, i think i can hear him use it carefully on heart of the sunrise in a few places as well.

Ooopss. has been so long, I thought that I had already said it... but it's in album which Alan and Steve played (and no it's not on UNION! <img src=pix/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>)

This last hint combined with a prior one names the album it is on.

Not sure if this is the instance you are looking for, but listen closely to the last verse of Heart of the Sunrise on YESSONGS, and you will find liberal use of a wah-wah, as well as 1-2 other spots in the song.

no... too long for this topic to go on... it is Ritual... If you listen very close to it, you'll realise. It's very discreet.

[font=Comic Sans MS]it must be very discreet, i can´t find it. where is it? all i hear is the usual volume pedal effect, the sitar guitar and a slightly used choruspedal.

M... maybe it's Ancient. Anyway, I started this trivia a lot of time ago! I'm checking it again.
