The error is happening because there's a command to send you back to the page you came from after posting a message. Since it can't tell what page you came from, it doesn't know where to send you.
If anyone can tell me how to generate this error myself, I'll look into it further, but for me it works on win98, win2k, and winxppro using netscape, mozilla, and IE.

well ed i guess you hit the nail on the head with this one. it seems my firewall (norton personal firewall 2002) seems to be the culprit. i'm running netscape 6.2.3 on win98 & using the default settings. the funny thing i don't have that problem at work where we have a real firewall installed. any ideas on what i should do to resolve this other than disabling the firewall?
