Last night my band The Howard Way had our release party for our album 'Nver Mind the Country'.
Rootsy Records, a Warner Brothers sublabel, had a listen and decided to take care of the distribution.
Next stop - fame and fortune! :-)
Ha ha, I just saw this thread. Wow, it's been four years since this occasion.
What happened you may ask? We released the CD, got great reviews, then the (all important) bassplayer decided to go to East Asia on a six month vacation. We tried but couldn't find a fitting filler-in during the time (we're a band of comrads) and the whole thing slowly went to sleep.
We're still sleeping but that's OK, everything has its time.
I see what you mean. I've more or less grown tired of the idea of being in a band. It is no longer that important. Playing live with a band. or solo, is also something I can live without knowing the hazzle of packing gear and travel.
So, last spring I got myself the Presonus Studio One software and soundcard, then upgraded to Producer version. I haven't come very far with recording stuff yet, but slowly (actually very slowly) I'm learning how it works.
