JULY CONTEST

Postby Ed Schaum » Tue Jul 03, 2001 6:44 am

BEST POST CONTEST

For the remainder of July, we'll be watching everyone's posts. The best post of the month, which will be decided by me, with some help from the Ops, gets a brand new copy of:

[size=134]HOUSE OF YES
Live from House of Blues
DVD

The THREE runners-up will each receive a copy of Millennium Guitar.

Post often, post interesting, and show your heart. Give it all the love you have, never be afraid!

Well I already have it, so there's no incentive for me to stop being long-winded, ignorant, uninteresting, and foul-mouthed. Thanks anyway.

Stay just the way you are, Eric....we needed someone who was.....

But hey, there's always MG...although that might not be much of an incentive.

I'd like to be able to give away a "jam with the band" prize, but somehow I don't think they'd go for it.

And you have to realize that if they did go for it...I'd rig the contest so that I win!!

Well, Ed, believe it or not I live behind the times and DON'T own a DVD player yet! I have the video, but if I won the contest, it would give me a good reason to go out and buy the player ~~!

Hey Ed, that is going to be region 2 DVD isn't it? We don't want to be starting any transatlantic wars do we? (Actually, haven't seen Blues this side of the pond, and have held off buying KEYS, 'cause everyone I've heard talk about it says the video work is shite. Anyone like to persuade me otherwise? Anyone know if there's a region 2 Blues available?)

The DVD Player isnt that cheap in here so maybe i'll buy it only next year or so... The reason is perfect, though.

Actually Id rather have Millenium Guitar, House of Blues sucks anyway. I cant even stand to watch it, its like whoever did the sound mixing forgot there was a keyboard player and thought that Billy Sherwood was the main guitarist. Lets not forget the boring-ass setlist either.

If I try, I'll probably post something stupid, ya know, something that, uh...looks like it tries to hard to be cool. So Im just gonna keep doin' what I do, and if you guys think its ultra-fantabulous then hey, thats swell, Id kinda like to hear your Cd anyways. Id also feel great knowing that I got it for just being a totally way cool dude who posts cool stuff

Not a problem. If the winner wants something else instead of the dvd, that's ok. That video is about $20 on Amazon, so I'll substitute ANY OTHER YES material - audio, video, tape or disc, as long as it's in the same price range.

That's even MORE motivating!! How about a couple FREE tickets to a concert nearby?? AND/or a backstage pass?? Hmmm... what can I write about?

Well, Lizzie, you did have to keep tantalizing me with tidbits of your naughty flitatious ways, eh? Sigh. I tried and tried to resist finding your Secret hangout, but you just had to keep taunting me with it. Good thing I like Yes, eh?

I guess I've got some thread reading to do, eh? Find out what the woman has been up to... Esp. now that she's telling me (via net phone) as I type, that she now "has to be good". Like she hasn't been being good? Sigh....

(I'm laughing my ass off here...)

Yer busted!!! (nicely busted)

I'd like to thank everyone for participating the the July "Best Post" contest.

You've made it VERY difficult to make a choice, there are SO MANY excellent posts.

Sooooooooo...... you'll need to give us a little time to review some of the messages and to talk about it for a bit. I'll try to have the winner list ready this weekend.
