I had a conversation with some male Yes fans and they cannot believe that Jon would make a good lover. ("He's so sappy and gay...") I totally disagree. I'm sure he's very passionate, and sensitive to a lady's needs and desires! What do you other women think?

The lyrics he writes and the way he sings makes Jon Anderson a real turn on, I get the feeling that he would be very passionate in bed. His wife is one lucky woman!

I'm sure Jon and Steve's wives could vouch for their "gentle mass touch awaken," but wouldn't Alan make an interesting choice? More athletic and earthy?

I'm hoping some intelligent lady will speak of the handsome visage and carriage of Trevor Horn, who shares some attributes with yours truely. Although my personality most resembles Bruford's . . .

Yesmam, there's always a chance of listening to Yes and associating it with an memorable event, but I listen so much, I have different memories for each song. Some spiritual, some physical, some social, some alone. But listening to Yes does inspire me, along all sorts of avenues, whether I'm shaking the rugs or making love. Plus, there's an old male trick of concentrating on something complex, to delay the male response, and Yes is great for that! Very relaxing at critical juncturs, if you catch my drift . . .

Massos, is this what you had in mind when you mentioned Tales as "program music?" Should I let Heid know? I suspect she may be on line more--Should I alert her to your prowess and stamina?

yes but his size-47 shoes would get in the way. You could put oars on them muther f*ckers and have a couple of rowboats. Look at the picture in the Yesshows tour booklet. You could use his feet for public transportation! Ian Anderson is the KING of lesty-zesty lusty lyrics. Listen to "Hunting Girl" or "Acres Wild" or "Strip Cartoon"

One defining characteristic of progressive rock seems to me to be its reluctance in dealing with lust, rather than love. Oh, there are notable exceptions, like "Rhythm of Love," ELP's "Still . . . You Turn Me On," and other examples, I'm sure. But these are very much exceptions to the rule--by in large, progressive rock, including Yes, doesn't deal with physical love, as opposed to most rock, which deals almost exclusively with it, more or less.

I was looking around all the various forums and logged into the vault to see some of the topics that had been stored here. I know it may have been a while since this was referenced, but I thought that an easy exception to this rule would be Frank Zappa...."Give me, your dirty love."
Then there is Pink Floyd as well....."Oh, I need a dirty woman. Oh, I need a dirty girl."
I think if you look outside YES, in the world of Progressive rock, there are plenty of lusty lyrics around.

Ahh, the vault. Thought I'd resurrect this thread... it's been a LONG time since it's seen the light of day. I just read it from start to finish, and it brought back memories of the days when a lot of these posters were still posting regularly...

Keric mentions Zappa in the post right above mine... how's about Dynamo Hum? THERE's some lust. Or the entire album "200 Motels"? Or "Thingfish"?

And let's not forget The Tubes... you had to be 18 to get into one of their concerts, with songs like "Don't Touch Me There" and "Mondo Bondage"...

I've never associated Yes music with sex. To me, it's about expanding my consiousness and the Universe and so on.

When I saw Hots used the way it was in Buffalo 66, I thought nah.....doesn't work. That song means going to another world, or another life, for me.

 [:yes]

What you say Yes music does for you is what sex does, at least in part, for many. :)

That's an interesting observation Amy. I hadn't thought of it like that.

I've always heard there's a correlation between shoe and penis size . . . ;)

I've heard the same, but it doesn't apply in my household. Alan has only a size 9 shoe. :D ;)

There is a member of Yestalk who once told us of his large feet. Some of us were clucking about what this must mean. I wonder if he will chime in again here. Hmm... :D
