<font color=purple>Gold chains? I do wear a really petite one around the neck but that's about it. I love the color purple as well, always have but then again, I love all colors. Speaking of shades ( a whiter shade of pale perhaps?), these you see here do indeed change colors depending on the intensity ( or lack thereof ) of available light. They have served my mole-ass well as my eyes are very light-sensitive. All the time? By no means, though I do wear them frequently. Sometimes, they serve to mask my North Carolina road map eyes after partaking in smokables...you know, second-hand smoke, cook-outs and other assorted eye irritants.</font id=purple><font color=red></font id=red><img src=pix/icon_smokin.gif border=0 align=middle>

*light bulb flashes above Eric's head*

Speaking of pics, I have a cool idea! If anybody else can do this, please do so I think it would be cool. I feel like taking maximum advantage of my photpoint account before it becomes a paysite (greedy motherfuckers!) so I think I'll post a little mini-album for you guys, what the hell, Im bored and I have some spare time! here goes...by the way these pics will probably be red X's in a week or so.

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1459273&a=11893914&p=42650404" border=0> pic of me and my band

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1459273&a=11213588&p=41482920" border=0> I get the award for most original halloween costume! When I was 10 I wanted to be Mozart for halloween in the worst way! My mom spent weeks making my costume. At the last minute I got real embarrassed about it and wore my Jason mask instead. Made for some funny pictures though! (by the way I dont have a scanner so i took pics of the picture frames with my webcam. Im ultra-ghetto-fabulous! lol)

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1459273&a=11213588&p=41483078" border=0> Me proudly giving an ear-bending violin recital to my parents when I was 9. I wanted to play the violin so badly and I played about as good as Chunk from the Goonies looks. My teacher was this smelly old man that would swear and yell at me so I quit. That violin has since been smashed

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1459273&a=11213588&p=41483078" border=0> Baby pic

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1459273&a=10968432&p=47838003" border=0> recent webcam pic

Sometimes I think I have too much spare time on my hands! LOL

Thanks, Eric!
Really enjoyed the pics! From Mozart to Jason, huh? Wonder how we could analyze that one! Wish I could have been there for the violin-smashing ceremony, too! Seems to be many sides to your psyche! <img src=pix/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

This is for YesRocks. You sound like a normal, mixed up, American Teenager. I think we all felt the same at some point in our lives. But the world is a wonderful place, you young people are just being forced to grow up too quickly and cant handle all the info being shoved into you at once. There is a God, He loves you, and as you grow and learn you will see that he has a place and purpose for you if you will just trust in Him. As someone said in here before, The book of John in the Bible is a good place to find the comfort and solace when life seems to be too much for You.

Sorry to hear that, Eric. It doesn't sound as if it's YOUR fault, though, right? If this makes you feel any better, just remember that you ARE getting experience of some kind through all this. There's SOMETHING you can learn from every single experience you go through in life (Do I sound like a mother, or what?). Really EVERYTHING comes into our lives for a purpose, no matter how bleak it may seem! A special teacher always told me, "pick yourself up, and dust yourself off." Most of the time that IS easier said than done, huh? But possible... <img src=pix/icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yeskat, I had all sorts of witty and wise replies to Eric, Yesrocks, Yessong, and Ed, but the thought of mere thought of a mature female <img src=pix/icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle> fan in a bikini has distracted my typically rational thought patterns. I'll try to process logically again, but I'm not sure if I can concentrate now . . .

I did want to complement Ed on his writing--I pride myself on my brief notes here, but he does have a distinct talent for a biographical sketch. As an amateur literary critic, I must say, well done Ed . . .

Eric, sometime I should post a pic of some of my Halloween costumes. True, I never appeared as a composer, I prefer Hollywood classics--Alex from Clowckwork Orange, and both Elmira Gulch and The Wicked Witch of the West from OZ--requiring a costume change, but I had the attitude and dialog down pat. I swear, next Halloween is me as Glinda, good Witch of the North, "Toto too!" and all that. Hey, I'm totally straight, but there's something about a guy in a dress that make them more approachable. I never go home alone October 31 . . .

I hope Nine-oh is coping with all this crap in life. Until he makes it back, I'll be posting all sorts of provocative topics in Yestalk, just to keep y'all on yer toes.

Bikini photos . . . does anyone else have objections? I always get this, "You look just like a former teacher of mine," thing, but no one wants to see their former English inscructor in a thong . . . <img src=pix/icon_smokin.gif border=0 align=middle>

Reading through my latest postings here has been odd--I never ask women for pictures, but as the campus life has dried up, so has my social life. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, but I may be posting here more frequently.

Eric, I walked off my boss the other day, but he'll be back--just a short, sharp strike, and I'll have the upper hand once again. Hey, in the meantime, he'll waste time finding a replacement, discover that no one else in town could put up with his crap, and beg me to return. Heh heh heh--my talent is not real estate, it's patience!

It's far easier for me undersell, and have clients love me and return, than it is for my boss or his ignorant flunkies dress like hillbillies and come off like non-profressionlals, and . . .

Ah, just venting. I think my first business will be a video rental shack close to downtown. It's still a risk on my savings, but I think I can do it. I'm just so tired of working for a strung out and weird boss, I know I could carve out a place for myself. In Columbia, we have about twelve tatoo joints, and only one other downtown movie rental. I have the location, the backlog, and the help--but I don't want to be a Capitalist, unless the business can really do something more, something that I can be proud of at the end of the day.

If anything can take my mind off of sex, it's business, althought the two seem to have some corresponence . . .

As soon as I get a scanner and get some good "thin" pics taken of myself (less the 40 pound loss), maybe I'll consider it. I'm kinda shy, so I may rule out the bikini! <img src=pix/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></font id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote>

I'm getting woozy. Bikini-clad yes fan? I think I've died and gone to heaven.

I enjoy the pics! Ed, you are one nice-looking guy! You look the outdoorsy type. I can picture you with the hiking shorts, backpack, etc...
<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></font id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote>

Well, you give me too much credit. While we do enjoy camping several times a year, we limit the hikes to usually just once a year when we go up to the mountains.

And those hikes have been getting shorter lately. We used to have no trouble with those 10 mile treks, but these days the 2 mile ones seem a lot more our speed.

<font color=blue>Sorry to disappoint you, N2, but the the only indecent pic I have is several years old, and I'd rather use something more recent. And besides, I'd be crazy to post <u>that</u> one! heheheh.</font id=blue><img src=pix/silly.gif border=0 align=middle>
<font color=blue>The pic I plan to use is a copy of my current ID photo, and it was done at one of those computer-picture booths at the mall (y'know, where they put your pic on mugs, T-shirts, etc.), and once thats up, all you dudes out there can use your imagination as to what the indecent pic looks like, and try to picture a Green Paternless Burmese Python in there somewhere...hahaha..</font id=blue>[:|]

Went to Weight Watchers and hit my 40-pound weight loss ~~ I tried a bathing suit on the other day. I think I need to loose another 10 pounds before I will look good enough for a picture... you know they say a camera puts on an additional 10 pounds! I've been working hard for about a year to get into a bathing suit, and look decent! I haven't worn a bikini in years -- don't know if I have the guts for a bikini! Still considering...<img src=pix/icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>

<font color=blue>Wow! That did'nt take very long, huh?
And I did'nt even know the pic was up until I read N2yes' post, mentioning it! I was like "Oh wow! Ed posted it already?! COOL!"
It's a shame that it looks a little blurry because of the icon size, but it does look better on my profile; it's slightly bigger than the original size, which was just about the same as this little icon. And my bangs have grown out since then, it was a trim gone awry. That's the last time I try to cut my own hair! Instead, I've been parting them to the sides so I can see what the hell I'm doing, so I don't have those bangs anymore.

It's so great to finally have a pic on here now, and putting a face to the name.
Thanx a billion, Ed!!!! You are one groovy dude..It was so nice of you to do that for me, and I really appreciate it...But there's one little question: So what have you done with the <u>original</u>, eh?</font id=blue><img src=pix/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

<font color=blue>But seriously, thanx again, I <i>mean</i> it! </font id=blue><img src=pix/icon_smile_8ball.gif border=0 align=middle>

Blurry!?!?!?!?! I thought I made them both so clear :(

The bigger problem, of course, is trying to concentrate on Yes stuff now. I keep getting distracted for some reason <img src=pix/luv1.gif border=0 align=middle>

As far as the original, welll.......I guess I'll send it back eventually. I may have to have it laminated first though, because every time I pick it up I start drooling. [you have such class, Ed]

I made them both a bit different too, the one for the messages is a bit more of a closeup, and the one in your profile shows your shoulders (sigh).

I think I'll take a look out of the window.

Ugly..you've got to be joking! I've always had a thing about redheads and those big blue
eyes are incredible.

I imagine the types giving you a hard time at college were the cloned, cheerleader, barbie doll types.

My wife is a good looking lady, and fortunately my two girls take after her (rather than me) in the looks department. I caught my 8 year old calling another girl fat one day and when we got home we had one helluva long talk about how what you say to people, even if provoked as she had been, can severely effect them all of their lives.

There's a saying in Spanish, which I try to keep to, which roughly translates "if you haven't anything nice to say about someone, then don't say anything"

Hey Ed how come my icon isn't loading? Not that it's any great loss to the forum, but I ditched my attempts at setting up on microsoft's home pages and posted some at a Geocities address instead. Just can't understand where I'm going wrong now...

Chris,

I checked your profile, and the links had semi-colons instead of colons after the http. I fixed that, but then the pix still didn't show up. When I clicked on the link to the pic that's in your profile, it brought me to a geocities page that talked about a couple of things.

First, it said that maybe you don't have an index.html page set up, so nothing will display. It also warned that linking pix to external sites like message boards would be a problem for them.

If you haven't set up an index page on geocities, do that first. If you've already done that and it's still not working, email the pix to me and I'll put them on the server over here for you.

I would say that those classmates either had no taste, or they just couldn't see very well.

I'll send it back, but there's sometimes a lag betweeen when I decide to do something and when it actually gets done. I'll try to remember to get it out this week.

<font color=blue>Ok, Ed. There's no rush...As a matter of fact, I really don't want it back! lol
If there were more nice guys like all of you when I was in Middle and High school ( the most awkward period of my adolescence), I probably would'nt have had a somewhat bleak and bitter outlook on life like I used to, before discovering Yes music, and of course, this wonderful forum...

Thankfully, my college years were'nt as bad, I did manage to have a few friends, and I was'nt picked on at all. However, there was this one two-faced, back-stabbing bitch (who was once my friend) who, for no reason at all, decided not to like me. And to this day, the reason <i>still</i> escapes me. Well I sure don't need assholes like <u>that</u> in my life anymore, and I too grew up with that phrase "If you don't have anything nice to say...." My mom was always saying that, but apparently, none of the other mothers did, because I got picked on about everything. My clothes, my hair (it was'nt high enough in the 80's), the fact that I was a late bloomer did'nt help, either (that could explain why every guy I had a crush on never so much as <b>breathed</b> in my direction), not to mention having to wear glasses on top of that. It was just one long nightmare, and I'm glad I've awakened, and that it's finally <u>over</u>.

I'm not quite used to getting such nice compliments, and the only thing I can think of to say in response would be thank you.
Thank you to all you kind, thoughtfull people, for making me feel accepted, and most of all, LIKED, something I have'nt felt in a long time, without the fear of being back-stabbed, that is...

YOU GUYS RULE!!! Sincerely!</font id=blue>

<font color=red>My dear SF, know this. It is we who are fortunate to have you join us. Hell, since you showed up, we no longer carry our clubs and say "Ughh" in response to questions. Hadn't you noticed? It's always nice to have a lady around ( that goes for you as well YK ), especially one with the atypical combination of looks and intellect ( the two seldom occur together in nature do they guys? )</font id=red> <img src=pix/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

<font color=blue>It' good to know that not all men are grunting, slobbering Neanderthal cavemen, and that there <i>are</i> highly sensitive members of the opposite sex lurking out there in the world...Now if only my hubby could learn a thing or two more from all you gentlemen, He's starting to come around, though. I'm his first real love, and he does'nt quite know how to show it, so I got on his ass about it, and he's beginning to get it, but he still needs a lot of work... </font id=blue>
