Remember me?

Postby Seryn » Wed May 30, 2001 11:46 pm

Yeah...that girl who is suppose to be systems op or something like that? Oh, geez...I know you all get along fine without me, but I still feel so bad for being so slack! I don't even know why Ed gave me the honor of being sysop for you guys...I don't deserve it! Hopefully I can get caught up here. If I ever do I know it won't take more than fifteen minutes a day to visit and reply to every message...well, except when you have those really juicy threads going on. Then its more like thirty to forty five, but I can still squeeze that out! If I can only get caught up!!!

Well, here I am if any of you want to give me a good kick in the rear!

BTW...does anyone here watch Space Ghost? Just curious? :D

BTW, Seryn, I used to be a big space ghost fan back in the mesozoic era ( actually, back when it first came on---30 years ago or better ). That was when cartoons were inventive and top-quality. Fantastic Four, the Herculoids etc...damn, it was all good, especially the original Jonny Quest.

Jackalz, you a a man of superior priorities, but I've re-ordered them for maximum impact. First Yestalk (after I get home from work, and shower up), then out to hoist a few pints (thinking of replies whilst my compares talk about sports), and then more Yestalk, while I'm still in a talkative state. I know my typing and spelling suck then, but I can compensate with my charisma and sparkling wit then. And if I post something that makes me chuckle, I'l reward myself with an herbal treatment.

Seryn? I vaguely recall the name . . . it reminds me of an earlier correspondent who might care for a CD sampler of newer bands. Of course, this could be a different Seryn, one corrupted by education and experience, so I'm not sure . . .

The only thing I tape from TV is Space Ghost, or at least Cartoon Planet. I believe that Zorak has been an underappreciated keyboardist, and is looking . . . but the difficulties of Steve Howe and a Mantisoid working together may be insurmountable. One eats lentils, the other his young, and the lyrical visions of each would be difficult to reconcile.

Perhaps Brak could collaborate with Jon? Hey, they're both optimistic and outgoing, as long as we don't get a twenty minute epic about beans . . .

 Seryn,
I must have spaced out, just thinking about you, when I didn't read the Space Ghost reference. I've seen that show about five times, and each time it was ROTF hilarious. Since the cable company rearranged the channels I don't surf into the cartoon planet as often. It used to have quite a few shows I'd enjoy, Ren and Stimpy, and Space Ghost were the best, IMO.

theproffet,
I'm more in awe of my charisma and sparkling wit, but on occasion you give me a run for my money. In fact, I'm giggling right now. hahaahahahahahahaha. And of course there's no one here wiser than me either, IMHumbleO. But don't despair all, maybe a little will rub off on you, but I'll try to keep it on the toilet paper.

Alright!!! I was hoping someone was familiar with my new little obcession (Prof...I think this should prove I'm not a Seryn corrupted by education and experience!LoL) I love Zorak! Has anyone seen the episode where Zorak has his little nephew, Raymond, with him? Oh...if I had a child I would want it to be like that!...the personality...not the looks!!! Hee, hee! Hhmmm...maybe I need to write to Jon about considering Zorak...

Well, I'm so glad to be back and see that you all have not forgotten me! This gives me a good reason to stop doing school work and living at Yestalk again.

Jackalz...pass me a bottle of the hard stuff!

It seems everyone has wondered if I still pocess the breath of life, N2Yes! One of my friends e-mailed simply asking if I was still alive. To be honest...barely is the answer! I am now having to dedicate myself truly to the field of biology...by getting up at odd hours such as 6:00 in the freaking morning!

Prof, you know I'm interested in more new music always! Does that sound like the Seryn you know?

Yesman...you ask what is new. Well, I've taken up a new hobby that I'm enjoying muchly...photography. Its really fun and if you all are really lucky, I'll be able to scan some of my better pics and post them. I'm surprised at how good some of them have turned out! At first I didn't think I was going to do well in the photo. class. I'm also taking creative writing so I can get some help with putting all of these ideas for story on paper!

Renato, I'll talk to you through the e-mail, buddy :) Everything going good down in SA?

Well, I'm touched that no one painted a bull's eye on my ass and kicked me straight to the dark side of the moon! And very excited to see Yestalk growing from a town to a city!

Dark Shadows? Which one? The late 60's/early 70's "soap opera", or the prime time series that was on ... I guess it was the late 80's? The remake? Both were cool.. altho the late 60's soap gave me nightmares when I was a kid...

Jonathan Frid was a great vampire, no doubt.

qman, Space Ghost is the best late-night talk-show host, bar none. Formerly a Hanna-Barbara 60's cartoon, now he has his own happening talk show on the Cartoon Network. They've interviewed everyone from Joey Ramone to Robert Anton Williams.

Rick would be the perfect guest: a racconteur and pianist, perhaps in a skit with Zorak--they would duel on the keyboards, whilst discussing who should devour whom. Jon and Zorak should work on a project together, their voices would blend well, but Zorak would probably devour a female security guard, which has proven to be the end of similar collaborations.

Moltar is a better director than the monkey behind the lens for most Yes videos, as well . . .

And Brak is a brilliant vocalist, his mellifluous stylings both ethereal and earthy. "I Like Beans" is a spendid sampling of his artistry.

well your right the fall colors in maine, new hampshire and vermont are the best. like wise I'd have to say that vermont is one of the nicest all around places in the world.
I actually have many reletives there so maybe they can vouch for me . one of the more spectacular views I have seen is from the top of camels hump in vermont -although mount washington is great as well.
all kidin aside I would certinly be willing to pay a small fee to hike around certin places in northern new england. my Uncle is actually a photographer of some prestige he's from new hampshire.currently in napal shooting for his next book. this a career he started 10 years ago at the ripe age of 70-which I guess says its never too late to follow your dreams.

Photography is a terrific hobby. My dad enjoyed it as well, even getting a national award for a photo he took at the '64 Worlds Fair and dabbling with Oceanography. I haven't done photography as an art since college - without a dark room I couldn't see the point. However with Digital photos and editing software I might take another poke at it.
