At TVM? Well...I'm sitting here at work, three days after the Irvine Rush show (my first), quite amazed that after years of utterly despising Rush, I'm actually beginning to LIKE their music.

TVM I'm looking at my calendar and thinking how bad October's going to suck!

Next week I have to take a three-day training officer class, and then I get to go to the dentist on Friday. I also got a subpoena to appear in court that conflicts with day one of the three-day class.

Sometime this month we are getting four new hires and one of them will come to me for training.

Then we are supposed to start training on the new dispatch computer system, which is nothing like our old system. It will also require three days of training. The schedule keeps getting pushed back by the supplier. And sometime in early November (I think) that system will go live. After that our remodeling will finally be complete. We are having serious growing pains at work lately!

And hopefully in the beginning of November I will get to go take a PowerPoint class so I can be even more indispensable to my unit.

So if I'm not around much in October, y'all will know why ...

You'll have plenty of time to catch up in October, N2 dear. Just look at my schedule posted above, and that's not even everything.

PC, who's not even really posting that much!

Preparing to celebrate our 17th wedding Anniversary, taking my wife out to dinner, then a night of dancing to the Neville Brothers at a local venue.

Sounds good...

I just got home from seeing "Red Dragon" Very good, very nightmarish, I won't be able to sleep, and it will come into my dreams, I don't know why I do this to myself.

TVM I'm getting ready to go to day one of a 3-day training officer class and wondering why I'm up at this hour since I slept last night. Hmm. What a dedicated little soul I am.

Someone from Toastmasters called me last night, asked for the title of my speech that I'm giving tonight. I never think of that stuff until the last minute but I didn't want to admit that ... in fact I haven't prepared a speech at all yet. It seems to go better if I talk off the top of my head. I know I'm weird that way.

And of course I'm counting the days until I can see White Oleander, which is in the movie theaters on Friday. The book was outstanding. Movies based on books usually disappoint but this one I can't resist.

OK, time to get dressed.

I got edumacated - I'm now a CERTIFIED communications training officer, as opposed to just a CTO. Ooooohhhhhhh!

This morning in class the instructor made me participate in an exercise in which I was to discipline a consistently tardy trainee. Um, been there, done that, can you give me something a little more challenging?

TVm, I`m realizing my 4 year old nephew is becoming a Yes fan. Tonight he was over my house when I was out and my brother lets him play around with my bass. They were also watching the Yes symphonic DVd and little T.J. just loves the chorus of Your Move- `Dih Dih Dih Dih Dih Da Dah.' He was running all over the house while humming it, or should I say, screaming it. Also, he loves the intro to `Survival' with Squire`s bass. `Uncle Chris, I wannna go boom, boom, boom!!!!'
It seems my bro has been playing the Yes album , and the little guy loves it. I wish i had luck with my 12 year old nephew, who would rather listen to Linkin Park and Rancid(appropiate name). Who knows, you might have a future Yestalker here one day. Let`s just hope he inherits none of Stout`s cynicism. One is bad enough.

You are a good friend, I would love that!

I just got home from a wedding, yes a sunday night wedding, it was fun, of course the party almost ended up at my house but I realized my babsitter is sleeping in the basement where everyone wanted to be because of the pool table, so I nixed that idea. A little tipsy, tommorrow morning will not be pretty.

Just got back from seeing the movie White Oleander. You should see it. It's not as good as the book but it's still well worth seeing. And now we're fixing to fire up the new cappuccino machine. Life is good.

You've been baking in that sun too long. It happens to young people down here in Florida all the time. I think 30 is midlife here sometimes.

At TVM I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for some very critical personal news and I'm also listening to CNN on the latest updates on the sniper shootings in the Washington DC area. I was frankly going to go to Home Depot in my own area today, but I have opted instead to stay home and stay by the computer. I don't even live near DC, but I figure if I'm being overcautious, it will just mean that I'll get that wood putty another day...it's been pretty nervewracking. - ITPO
