Now I'm not asking for a political debate here, who you voted for or why, but if you reply here in the positive, I'll think you're all right. If you didn't, and you're ashamed of being lazy and/or uninformed, I'll agree! [:smoke}

I did about an hour ago. Mostly third party. The choices are appalling. I`m better off entering my girl`s dog into the fray. She could do a better job than most of these shitheads.

Imagine this, the voting machines were fucked up again in Florida. But my neighborhood voted NOT to incorporate into a city so I am happy.

I'm happy to report that I didn't vote this year. Basically, I'm tired of the whole situation and have decided to let nature take its course with or without me. It's going to anyways.

Every time I've voted, my vote simply hasn't mattered. Either I was part of a landslide decision, or, more commonly, my hopes were crushed.

I fully believe in democracy, but feel that we have yet to really utilize the potential participation of our united conscience. Voting is such a weak method of participating in government. There has to be a better way; a way where people truly come together to make decisions together and on a more frequent basis. What is the better way? Beats me, but I'll be happy to vote for that way if its dreamed up.

When a state supreme court can take the electoral process away from the people and hand the presidency to some simple-minded bozo who has failed upwards his whole life, and when the U.S. criticizes other countries for not having free-elections it really shows what power the people have in this country...and no, I didn't vote...it's fucking meaningless my friends

Yup - I voted - Some Dem, some Rep and a couple 3rd party - just the best person for the job is all I'm lookin for.

Oh, and by the way - yeah - it sucks that the court had to get involved in the Presidential race - but that is how the law is laid out - remember - it was the Dems who started the process (I am a registered Democrat - I do vote my concience, not necessarily my party).

Yes I voted, I always do, hell I like it, it's fun. Makes me feel like a grown up<img src=pix/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Anyway I think the Dems got what they deserved, they consistantly came off way to combative towards the President post 9/11 and I believe 9/11 scared the crap out of a lot of Americans, just how easily we were attacked in such a big way, so many deaths. Many Americans wanted the government to step up and hug them and say it's all fixed and this will never happen again, even if it's not true that's what the country wanated to hear and the Dems just came off in the press like they were blocking the President from carrying out the reassuring national hug. The result, the GOP now has the ball. Now their thinking Okay "what" and "who" do we blow up first! Time to spit some chewin tabbakee and start shootin and blowin them there bastards up! It's Doctor Strange Love time kids! How I learned to love the bomb! You youngsters will not know what the hell I'm referring to.

Whether you vote or don't vote, if you bitch, nobody listens to you anyway. Most people's minds are set. Offering suggestions is much more productive way for you to get heard.

Democracy is a fantastic system, even with politicians. But if you really want your vote to count you need to campaign effectively. One vote makes a difference about the same as a lottery ticket. Power though really does run the show, I guess as it should be.

I don't vote. Never have. But I don't bitch, either. All in all, I'm happy with the choices the voters make. I live my life according to the rules of the Universe, in any case.

I'm a bit pissed-off I didn't get a vote. After all the Whitehouse does seem to be making a few decisions on OUR behalf at the moment.

Mind you that would be a dangerous precedent - there might be a few million Iraqis who'd be pushing to get a say in who makes their decisions in future. Currently they have a psychopathic despot who's recently given them a generous choice of one.

I'm sure they must be happy that at least he's a home-grown nutter. <img src=pix/salook.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/jestera.gif border=0 align=middle>
