This afternoon I unearthed some boxes that hadn't seen the light of day in a year since I moved. Found a couple of REALLY COOL THINGS!

This is an original sticker from the Tales tour - bought in February, 1974! 30 years old. Since I've scanned it, I'm going to print a copy on bumper sticker paper and use it on my car! Wouldn't DREAM of using THIS one!

This one has a story to it. The morning after the Tormato show, I happened to be downtown and went into the lobby of the Hyatt-Regency for reasons having nothing to do with Yes. Apparently Yes had stayed at the Hyatt overnight, for in the lobby stood Steve Howe, surrounded by a small group of people who had obviously asked for his autograph.

I was still wearing the same jeans I had on the night before, so I reached into my pocket and there was my ticket stub. So, I walked over to Steve and asked if he would sign my ticket stub. While he was signing, I gushed, "I've seen you guys about 20 times!" He stopped, looked at me quizzically, and said, "Really?", as if he were amazed that ANYONE would see them that much!

He was very gracious to us, and it was a pleasure meeting him. Here's that same ticket stub, with autograph, that I found in a box this afternoon.

So, who else has a Yes artifact to share? Include your story, if there is one!

sitting in the hard rock cafe before the san antonio OYE show with some on-line aquaintances, two young gentlemen plopped down in the seats next to me at the bar and ordered nachos and beers. I imediatly recognized them as Billy and Igor and struck up conversation with them. they where funny, personable, and having a blast. they said the rest of the band was at the meet and greet. they hung out there with us for around 30 minutes.
after the show, and after joining several fans outside the stage exit where I got to briefly say hello to steve, alan, chris who signed my ticket, and billy and igor again, it was finally time to make the 5 hour drive home. I stepped into the HRC to use the payphone and after my call I noticed Igor and Billy with 4 or 5 young fans at a table. they waved me over and invited me to hang out with them. I hung there for around 30 or 40 minutes then I had to hit the road. just before I left, the young fans started passing around things for autographs. I had my YES coffee mug (that I intended on drinking from at work) and opted to have it signed instead.
