Ignore the SPAM Messages in Your PM Box!

Postby tardistraveler » Tue Feb 16, 2010 5:33 pm

We've been getting a rash of these - this is the latest one . . .

Looks like they've been sending these out to everyone on the site. I'm trying to get administrative assistance here, but until then, please DO NOT click any links that these folks are sending, just delete the PM and all should be OK.

NO ONE is going to "delete your account". It's just SPAM . . .

I just heard from Ed, who graciously bestowed upon me the power to deal with these guys. They have been banished from our fair site, never to return!

That doesn't mean they won't sign up with yet ANOTHER screen name, and try again. So, if you get another one of these, just delete it. I'll ban them as I see them . . .

Well, looky here! So good to see everyone! Congrats, Diane. Sorry about my second extended disappearance, but I never thought lightning could strike twice! Anyhoo, it's not about me. Ed has returned as well I see. We have heaven...well, except a few things ( like this spam proliferation ).
HELLO everyone!!!

N2!!! GREAT to see you!

The spammers are gone - Ed set things up so that you have to answer a question about Yes to join. There was only one person waiting in the queue this morning, and he/she seemed to be a legitimate one, so I did a release so he/she can come on in and join the party!

I hope you'll be back more often now . . . we've really missed you!

Dahni - we need to set up a chat soon - bring your paddle . . . :p

Yeah, I feel poorly about falling out of the herd, but it's been a rough ride plus two and I am so grateful to you, Diane for keeping the place clean in my absence. I will be here considerably more often now...hopefully with the kind of regularity that was once dependable. Ed has really outdone himself with this design. So good to see him again as well.
Thanks for the kindly welcome back. Now, let's see what's going on 'round here!
