Tour Cancellations Due to Freak Storm in Oklahoma City

Tour Cancellations Due to Freak Storm in Oklahoma City

Apparently a freak storm blew through Oklahoma City yesterday afternoon, tore down the tent, and collapsed the stage where Yes and Frampton were due to play that evening.

I'm hearing that one of the local crew suffered a severe leg injury, and one of Steve's techs also suffered an injury. Alan's and Oliver's equipment were damaged.

The show was cancelled, and also the one tonight in Albuquerque. No word yet regarding the rest of the tour.

Here's a news story . . . there's some video and pics of the damage.

Good thoughts going out to those who were injured, and I'm thankful that things weren't worse - someone could have easily been killed by this.

Blimey, such an unlucky time for that to happen.

Yet the press covers it only as a mediocre story, I guess because freak weather is pretty common in America. It would have been national news here, especially if a musician was hurt or if someone was killed. Thank god the injuries were minor.
