Will White return?
I gave the band a hard time at the start of this summers tour.. to my ears they just were not hitting the mark.. With that said some of the recordings I've listened to later on in the tour changed my mind.. They sounded good.. Was is inevitable that Billy and the new drummer would take a few shows t...

I realize there's not many folks checking in on this site these days.. Curious if anyone has attended any of the Drama / Tales tour dates as yet. From the limited exposure I've had via Youtube videos.. I'm not impressed.. shame really..

Re: YYAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY ANDERSON WAKEMAN RABIN!!!!!
I mentioned this in the previous thread.. Glad to see there is support for this project.. I'm very excited for it.. great combination of musicians.. Rick was recently quoted as saying one impetus for moving forward with this was the passing of Chris.. the other was the recent passing of Lemmy and Da...

Re: rnr hof voting
I consider the RnR HoF to be on the same level as Rolling Stone mag. Useta be a good thing, lost it's way, and is now only suitable if you have a cat or a bird (in the case of RS mag), or a political good ol' boys club (in the case of the RnR HoF). I would go into the RnR HoF if I were in the city ...

Squires Health / Sherwood filling in for tour
Surprised no one has brought this up.. but with that said.. very few visit this site these days.. Hopefully Chris is surrounded with the right people in order to deal with his condition and of course prayers that he pulls through this journey with positive outcomes.. Hat's off to Billy for accepting...

Trying to be the ever optimist I refuse to let all hope go. The ship still floats. We just have to search all islands to find the lost crew members and get them back onboard. It might take some time so Full speed ahead! Don't have any suggestions as to how best to regenerate the energy that once wa...

Re: Heaven and Earth - what does everyone [anyone] think?
I may be in the minority here.. but I like my Yes with some "balls".. and this release offers little of that.. Subway Walls and Light of the Ages come close to what I would expect from a Yes release.. You'd think they could have taken the necessary time in order to be a bit more creative vs. the flu...

Re: Alan Parsons copies Donna Summer?? say it ain't so..
Disco Robot? lol Interesting that you noticed the similarity! Yeah I'm a huge Donna Summer fan (not), no I simply had on the 1976 disc from a Time Life Best of the 70's series and up popped her song and for whatever reason I let it play thru rather than flip to the next song. As I recall that song ...

Re: Alan Parsons copies Donna Summer?? say it ain't so..
Just listened to the two songs, and I can see where you're coming from, but it's more a case of the two songs being in the same key with a similar tempo and groove. I wouldn't say it was copying, as both songs are essentially just a groove around a tonic (C Minor I think), one with a vocal melody a...

Alan Parsons copies Donna Summer?? say it ain't so..
Call me crazy but I heard Donna Summers "Love to love ya baby" on the radio today and the similarity to the instrumental "I Robot" was unreal. So when I got home I cued it up and sure enough around 2.19 into the song you have an instrumental break that is lifted one year later by Alan Parson on the ...

Did a quick search but nothing came up with this topic. I'm sure it was discussed when it was first released, however I'm just getting around to listening this. Found it at an "attractive" price and after a few listens I'm liking this album a lot. Shame the "More Drama" tour didn't materialize this ...

Re: "Re-creating Tour"
Peter Frampton is the guy that uses that tube-like thing on his guitar right? -gives it a sort of aquatic wah-wah tone. Joe Walsh uses that too, and Pink Floyd occassionally. But was it Frampton who invented it? Are you referring to a "speak box?" Lot's of folks have used that over the years but Fr...

Re: "Re-creating Tour"
I saw the 76 tour and yeah, they would need Moraz and Anderson to do it justice. The stage setup was very cool with the "bug" or whatever it was behind Alan that had wings flapping . And of course the light show was amazing. I'd be happy if they simply re-vamped the set list to include "new" materia...

Not I. On a side note I've seen two references to the fact that Jon, Rick, and Trevor are "working" on something for this year.... any one else in the "loop" on that rumor?

They played CTTE in 2008? I didn't kthink any of the epics were in the set list of this line-up? I was just going to say the same thing. I need to go back and refresh my memory. Anyone else come across Roger Dean and Storm Thorgerson's book "Album Cover Album"? I think its actually quite old but it's been updated and I recently bought the new version. I haven't listened to Yes in like 2 years, except for occasional watchings of the Keys and Steve Howe classic artists dvds. Wow, I just listened to a boot from the NH show from this most recent tour. Yes just has a way of getting played frequently. And not just one period of their history, one day ...

I just posted an observation on "another site". Was there any of what I'm hearing at your show?? This is a boot from NH show that I'm listening to even as we speak and there seems to be a pretty severe "pacing" issue. I saw them last summer and they were on fire, early in this show....not a shining ...
