Re: Hello again

Good to see so many familiar names from a few years ago here. I noticed the site is back up and I'm very glad about it. I am still a fan and had tickets to see Yes in 2008 in Dallas, Texas USA but the show canceled when Chris Squire had an illness. Fond memories of tardistraveler, Roan's Lady and al...

When asked about the obvious Roger Dean influence, Cameron replies something like "only back in my pot smoking days".

Re: Wow where'd everybody go?

I keep a saltwater aquarium and sometimes visit a hobbyist site where there is an ERIC12345 and he kind of has your edge, just no F words. Thought it might be you so I had to say something.

Re: Keys to Ascension

It's all about the overdubs. They had to use alternate camera angles and special effects or the vid wouldn't match the audio. The editor should have been paid double for doing this film. I do like the way it turned out and especially like Onward and RSOG.

Long Distance Runaround

Hi everyone - can someone fix me up with an easy chart for LDR? I'm looking for an easy acoustic version, a la the Live at QPR video. Lyrics and chords with maybe the tab for the "lick" would be great if anyone has this handy. Thanks and have a great day.

Re: Tales... would it have been better as a single album?

Bravo yesman! Makes me remember my first listen to Tales. I was riding as a front seat passenger with a friend driving from Waco, Texas to College Station, Texas. It is about an hour and a half drive and he had Tales on an 8-Track casette. As with most 8-Tracks, you could hear a bit of bleed through...

Re: Has anyone an opinion on this tour's ticket prices?

I have my ticket to Dallas. Prices were about what Roan's Lady mentioned in the $40 - $150 range. The others I'm going with voted for what seats we would get and I voted for the $69. I again find myself in the voting minority and will make my ancient tush comfortable in one of the $150 seats. Glad t...

Re: Does your YES "Flame Still Burn" !?

...hey, it was just Part of My Rock and Roll Fantasy. In reality though, I tend to think we will see some future performances and in all likelihood not just from the Classic Lineup. For that matter, an Anniversary gig or a farewell gig doesn't seem that far fetched. In fact, it sounds exactly like s...

Re: Does your YES "Flame Still Burn" !?

This would work for me! In fact, not long ago I made up a fantasy setlist for this very thing, with the tunes I think they should do with the various lineups and solos. My fantasy is kind of a festival gig that goes from early afternoon into night time with extended breaks between sets/lineups for c...

Re: Tales... would it have been better as a single album?

This used to be my housecleaning music back in my single days. I could do laundry, dishes, etc. and take quick breaks to flip the vinyl or put the other record on. Always had the place spiffed up by the time Ritual was over. Good way to listen to all 4 sides every time. Getting the Russian import CD...

Hi Hed: congratulations on your amazing efforts with this. I was at the Solos Tour Dallas, Texas USA show (same as Michelle Moore) and took 2 still photos. Smoke on the Water: Montreaux 2003

Live in Montreaux 2003 (concert DVD) quietly slipped out recently in case you might not have noticed. This show has our boys at their best on a stage that has been special to them over the years. The sizzling musicianship is thrilling even by Yes standards. I hate to make comparisons and say one fil...

It might even be alive literally. Travor Rabin will be 71 and Jon Anderson will be 81. Somewhere, in a very cool nursing home in 2525 you might just hear it coming from the room at the end of a dark hallway where two senior citizens of rock still strum acoustic guitars on Friday night: "...owner of ...
