Michael Jackson

Wow, such sad news. I also was born in 1958, but in the seventies took a different musical direction and became a Yes Fan, along with other progressive rock music, and was not into pop or disco of those days. Then Thriller was released, and I loved it! Got it for my birthday that year....I always di...

Re: Reading, PA 11/18/08

must be good if you saw them 50 times already ..wonder why Howe is so much more on fire Well I said he was on fire, not so much more on fire....I think Steve's always on fire!!! He always performs superbly, every time I've seen him - to my ears he never misses a note.....and I know all those notes....

Reading, PA 11/18/08

Hello all; haven't been here in a long while.....I saw Yes last night in Reading, PA - had a beautiful seat in the front row, direclty in front of Steve (which IS the place to be!). They were really great, Steve is amazing, and he was on fire! Close To The Edge was unreal, you did need a break after...

Re: Yessong of the week "Awaken"

Awaken - summons more feelings than words when I think about it. Truly it is in a class by itself. I consider it to be a classical piece of music and I think it stands alone - I don't even think you need to understand English to appreciate it; however the words are quite spiritual and heavenly! I be...

Re: Yessong of the week parallels.

I've always liked Parrallels; when Going For The One first came out, it was initially my favorite track on the album, I thought it rocked pretty good - like the bass and the guitar on it. I still think it's a great song! (After exploring the album further obviously Awaken became the favorite). GFTO ...

Re: Most retchingly wretched song of all time.

I have 2 songs that I've really come to hate and cannot stand to hear them....they make my blood boil....1st is Billy Joel's Piano Man (cringes) and the 2nd is Whitney Houston's Saving All My Love For You....man when she hits that chorus last time around I get an ear ache...............................

Re: Yessong Of The Week: On the Silent Wings of Freedom

I can't really comment on this song - I remember I bought Tormato when it came out, and I didn't love it, I guess I still have it with the rest of my albums but I am not really familiar with it and really forget this song anyway. This was the last Yes album I bought after Going For The One - my pass...

Re: Yessong Of The Week: Yours Is No Disgrace.

Yours Is No Disgrace - for a long time it was my favorite Yes song, only to become tied later on with To Be Over - these 2 are my favorites. This song has many moments of what I call "Steve sneaking in" - the way he brings a riff that is incredible in after a line of singing - wow, I love his "sneak...

Anybody know how to go about getting a refund on the tickets? Somebody mentioned that they had an e mail from Ticket Master; I haven't! Should I contact them or wait it out? Anybody else heard from them or know the process? Thanks.

I'll sneak two into one and choose:
1) health and well being of my family
2) freedom - including the whole meaning; freedom to live peacefully, freedom of choice, freedom to be me at all times, freedom to live unaffected by other people's thoughts, freedom of ME - awesome....

I do indeed, have a Trinity - in fact, I have 2, neatly categorized in my mind - the first, and always the favorites, are Yes, Genesis and Pink Floyd. The second, and loved so well, are Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Super Tramp.

Re: When do you spend money?

It's next to impossible to do anything here using public transport, so I've been hit pretty hard by the gas prices rising . . . $100-$120 per week, unfortunately. Food costs are rising too because the trucking costs are increasing . . . many things have doubled in price over the last year. It's goi...

When do you spend money?

How do you spend your money? Not your bills etc. but your "spend"....do you buy when you're depressed? When you're happy? Or when you feel you deserve something? I'm generally not a big spender, I like to get some new clothes each season, but I bargain hunt, I hate to spend a lot of money when I can...
