Re: Question YES or NO
I have always liked the site- Yes Where are they Now? So I guess if Alan is saying Rick and Jon will be back at least in the studio then lets hope that happens. Seems Alan is the only one in the band that makes an effort to stay in touch with Jon. No matter what happens I think Chris will keep Beno...

Re: XYZ (ex -Yes Zeppelin) Mind Drive
there's a couple of Iv's from the 'achilles last stand' site about XYZ, one with White, the other with Squire here:

JPJ is on record saying he didnt know anything about it & thought the press made it up..
Clearly not.

there are those who doubt he's dead anyway..

just like Morrison, Presley, Princess Di etc.
Maybe he had more reason than most to want to dissappear. Who knows. What's amazing is the speed with which these stories build..

Just getting into IQ, via Frost*, as they share(d) the same bass player. Very good - obvious Genesis influence without being too derivative.
'frequency' is a great track - must hear more! Only heard 'em for the first time yesterday!! Where have I been?!

But can you dance to it? ;) Actually, I was behind the mad dancer once at a Yes show . . . this person kept standing and gyrating madly . . . we kept shifting down the row a bit but to little avail . I thought you were going to say it was Malcolm! I love this quote from the guy's paper "The members...

Re: Yessong Of The Week: Endless Dream
when I read some of these posts, I think I must be 'soft' (as a dove..) I've always liked Talk & Endless Dream is, to me, its a crowning glory of the album! It's just another shade of Yes. The real tragedy for me was that it never got the profile it should have done because the label collapsed (or w...

most sheet music I've ever come across bears a poor relation to the original music, usually transcribed by people who must have listened down a phone line or something it's so bad! My bro used to have (probably still does have) the 'book' for Criminal Record. but I havent seen any new Rick sheet mus...

Are you out there? This was the guy who lived in Wales & used to have some of the Tales set in his backgarden - dont know if he still has, or if he still frequents this site? There's a link to the story on Alan White's website, but the link seems to be dead now - so the story's lost: cast adrift in ...

might that be the Travelling Wilbury's Volume 1..? (& that's without cheating!) GReat, fun project which allowed some major stars to get back to what they really love, without the 'hassle', but it kind of morphed into that later on, sadly..

Good one, Haze! Much as like/love/adore the Howe era guitar sound, I like the 'refresh' that Rabin bought. Never really figured out why there was so much emnity from Howe towards him in terms of style. Being 'ousted' I can understand peeved him, but he seemed more upset about the fundamental differe...

I think 'we can fly from here' is on the Drama remasters, isnt it - still pretty raw. Had the band in that format recorded another album, I'm sure they'd have polished it some more. Wasnt it one of the first things the 'drama' line up did together?

Yessong of the month - Perpetual Change
I know we're supposed to do this weekly, but we dont! & it's my birthday month, so how about we celebrate that (those of us who arent at Hampton Court - sniff) (but it'll be raining in a minute..) with a discussion about this little gem. & what a corker it is.. How it's theme was to embody the ever ...

excellent choices, Hallway - think I'd pop Awaken in there before the encores! & not to hear Owner would be a refreshing change.. How about 'changes' instead...?
And shall we pop Parallels in there? I'll have a think about me own list!

I saw some 'doc' the other day, which implied that in his final days MLK knew they were coming for him.. hes had a couple of threats & it was all getting quite 'hot'. Hence he said & did some of the things he did - like, well, if my times coming then I'm just gonna go on & say what I feel..
