Re: Yes in your country
Yes does not enjoy the popularity that they once did in the US. They still have a devoted following but they no longer fill stadiums or large concert venues. New albums don't sell very well either. Without another infusion of new ideas (Like in the eighties) I doubt we'll see another rejuvenation of...

White on sick leave
Ok, so Alan announced that he's in recovery from back surgery and his friend will be filling in on drums for the current tour. I'm sorry but rather than a "Yes" tour, this tour appears to be "Steve Howe and Friends Perform the Music of Yes"

Got my tickets for October 22 on Long Island! I'm in the very last row but it's a small venue so there are no "Bad" seats

Re: Moody Blues, 2016
Cool - glad you dug it. I always like the Moody's stuff that most folks would dig. I saw them a few times when Wildest Dreams hit with a few songs gaining radio play. After Moraz left I just sorta lost interest, though. Good to hear they can still bring a show.

Grammys tribute
I missed the Grammy's last night. I did see a snippet on a local newscast about the tributes and caught a quick shot of Chris as part of the video wrapping up the artists lost on 2015. Can anyone find it on the web? All I can find are the live performances by Gaga, Eagles and Lionel Ritchie.

YEEEEE-HAWWWW!
So psyched for this project. I love Jon's solo work but have always felt he needed a rocker to balance out his soft delivery. The Yes Album, "Talk", proved that an Anderson/Rabin writing team can deliver

Yes...Igor - closest to the Wakeman sound...Igor...Igor!!!
Only Alan
Driving in to work this morning it suddenly occurred to me that, with the death of Chris, Alan is the only current member that was a part of the 90215 line-up...just food for thought

Igor, the discussion
The other day I was listening to "The Ladder" and it occurred to me that Igor really captures the Wakeman feel/sound better than any other Yes keyboardist. His solos, use of classic moog sounds and organ sounds all mixed with a classical feel just really brings the Yes sound that we know so well to ...

Re: What now?
I watched a video from the current tour. I have always like what Billy brings to Yes and the assorted projects he has been a part of and love that Chris asked him to carry the band forward in his spot. What I can't get past is Chris's vocals not be a part of the mix. I hadn't realized what a HUGE pa...

Re: What now?
I remember an interview with Jon back in the eighties. He was being asked about all the members that have come and gone. Jon's view, at that time, was that Yes music is bigger than the people who play it and he could envision a time where all the members are "new" members. Still creating Yes music f...

Re: Does The Ladder really suck?
Went back to this album again, recently, I have been searching for Yes music to rediscover as Heaven and Earth has just not done it for me. One thing that has become clear to me, Igor really captures the classic 70's synth sounds that are such an integral part of the Yes musical landscape. Far bette...

Re: New Yes Live box set
If they had released a curated sampling from each of those shows - maybe I'd consider it. I just feel like releasing live albums is just a way to get "new" product on the shelves without having to go through the expense and work of making a NEW album. The fans get excited to see something new in the...

New Yes Live box set
Yes, these are rare, lost tapes. Yes, it features shows from the "Golden Era". For me....I've had enough of live albums. The art looks fantastic but that's Roger Dean for ya.
