Re: Fly From Here - Any thoughts?

I I agree with you both. I believe there is more work put into the arrangements on FFH than was on H&E. It holds together as an album much better. The only part I have severe problems with is Steve's Bumpy Ride. To me it makes no sense and sounds as if being thrown in for the sake of having a 'progg...

Re: Hello again

That is pretty amazing. Spell something wrong (or be surprised by the spellcheck) and you can be sure the word does exist and has a meaning some language. Since swedish is also a germanic language and about half our vocabulary was imported from german immigrants in the 13th century we have this joke...

Re: Heaven and Earth - what does everyone [anyone] think?

By the way guilddigger, I think we CAN expect that kind of quality from them. They won't be instant classics, but listen to some of the more recent material from the 90s and Magnification. There's some rock solid stuff there. I'm also very partial to Open Your Eyes and The Ladder. I think Billy She...

(echoing) ...lllllooooooooo.........

It is slow.
Too few members have found their way back.
Too few know we are back.
Who knows where they are drifting off to.
The word needs to be spread!
We need to infest other social media where they may lurk and pull them back into the light!

Re: Heaven and Earth - what does everyone [anyone] think?

I've listened to it a few more times now to let it sink in. I think all I can really say is that this is Yes of today and this is how this lineup sound. The material seem to be more individually written, mostly by new Jon and whoever collaborated. But the famous arguing in the old days that in the e...

Re: Heaven and Earth - what does everyone [anyone] think?

I got it yesterday. The last copy in that store... Today I had the time give it a listen while on a roadtrip for work. Since each stretch took about one hour I spun it three times. So far I have enjoyed several parts of it, but I'll be back with a more in-depth view. However, it sounds promising. To...

Hello to you as well! I did not get a mail. By chance I tried the adress to see if the files were still being backed up, as was the message for years when I tried to go here. Wouldn't it be nice if we can get Yestalk to be what it was during the glory days. Seems like one by one the old gang find it...

And here is another sample, 'Believe Again' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuI2fev8omE It's so sad to read the many negative responses on YouTube. How can someone judge a yet unreleased album from a few samples and claim that it is not Yes? Good thing is, the hecklers do get slandered by those who a...

I cant' believe over four year have passed since this thread. I know the site was down for quite some time. For how long actually? About two and a half years ago I decided to give up life on the road as a travelling musician. Twenty-five years on the road, fifteen of those as full time job, did fina...

Ha ha, I just saw this thread. Wow, it's been four years since this occasion. What happened you may ask? We released the CD, got great reviews, then the (all important) bassplayer decided to go to East Asia on a six month vacation. We tried but couldn't find a fitting filler-in during the time (we'r...

Re: Machine Messiah - acoustic guitar chords

The first chord is a Em9 (ex1). The second chord is possibly a Cmaj7 (ex.2), or the Em9 moved up one fret to get that C-chord (ex.3) and then moved over the fretboard from there for the other chords. Ex1 Em9 0 0 0 4 2 0 Ex2 Cmaj7 0 0 0 2 3 0 Ex3 0 0 0 5 3 0

Our new album officially released yesterday

Last night my band The Howard Way had our release party for our album 'Nver Mind the Country'.
Rootsy Records, a Warner Brothers sublabel, had a listen and decided to take care of the distribution.
Next stop - fame and fortune! :-)

Give a man a fish and he will have food for the day.
Teach him to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I think I'd rather be fishing.

"Australia we're leaving you behind." I'm sure there is lots to tell, even from only two tours!
