Release date set for Steve Howe's Remedy

If you haven't been checking out stevehowe.com you probably missed it ... or you just don't care. But I do, and I am hoping for an ass-kicker of an album.

I have a Phillips FW-C577 bookshelf system that I bought at Wal-Mart for $188. It plays my Yes CDs in crisp detail and my Dream Theater CDs at stunningly loud volume. That's all a girl can ask for. On the computer, I have a $150 Creative Sound Blast...

Try a book called "Rocking the Classics: English Progressive Rock and the Counterculture" by Edward Macan, which covers the innovators of progressive rock nicely, in an academic sort of way.
Michele Hriciso, DJ Progressive Soundscapes Radio http://www.progressivesoundscapes.com Prog Coffee House...

Enchant - Tug of War

If you haven't checked out Enchant yet, you must! Go to their website at www.theoasis.cc and download some samples. They cite Yes as a major influence and it shows. The new album, Tug of War, was released last Tuesday in North America on the InsideOut label. It's easily in the top 5 I've heard this ...

I do believe Jon's lowest recorded note was on Time and a Word, where he hits the D below middle C in Everydays and it sounds like he's reaching for it a bit. I am pretty sure that the high E in Endless Dream is his highest, though it sounds like he's got a couple more notes he could hit after that....

Nobody has mentioned that the time signatures sometimes don't stay consistent for more than a couple of bars. Awaken - a perfect example of this. Once Rick's piano solo and the first vocal phrase are done, it's two bars of 4/4 and one bar of 3/4, alternating throughout. I guess some people would cal...
