That's a really interesting point, if the Ladder were cut down to the "best" forty minutes could it rank with the classics? I think for me it could get quite close, much closer than anything since well . . . the classics! However, it's a good thing that they didn't because judging by what people lik...

I wonder why they took New Language and Nine Voices out of the set, I thought that they would both be definite shoe-ins for the duration of the tour. I love hearing the classics and would go again and again and again just to listen to them but I could have done without just one or two of them to inc...

I must admit I don't know whether to be excited by this symphonic thing or not. I'm going to keep an open mind about the album (and hopefully the UK tour!) until I hear it. On the one hand it's an interesting venture on the other hand I'm really not convinced that the orchestra will work in place of...

Eric, don't start me on religion - "The Beginning of wisdom is fear of the lord" the good book says but it never caught on with me. I was born into a non-religous family but attended several different christian churches of my own volition never finding any answers. Then I met my wife and was officia...

Wow! This isn't quite what I thought I'd find on Yestalk but it's fascinating nonetheless. I've looked at a lot of churches in my time but have (regrettably) never found a faith that I can put mine into. I have a very simple philosophy along the lines of everyone I meet or interact with is a good pe...

Eric, Check out the website www.yestribute.com for how to get the CD. Any questions let me know. I definitely agree with you on Homeworld though it has what I probably very poorly term "Classic Yes Moments" . . . Some of the vocals are simply exciting and the sense of grandeur that it evokes is as i...

Jackalz, Great, I guess we are all friends now <img src=pix/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> Just to clear something up though I'm not in the band, I wish I had a fraction of what's required to do that! I basically saw them, offered to do their website and have been helping out ever sin...

I'm definitely with the majority . . . some great moments and "Homeworld" and "New Language" stack up against the classics in my mind. I've heard a number of complaints about the fact that for example Squire revisits the Roundabout bass line in New Language but I thought that this was inspirational ...

I think that Tales and Relayer are in the top three but I'd also include Close to the Edge. Sure the outside is a little plain but the inner cover with that impossible, dreamy, misty island of constantly cascading water sends me straight into dreamland. It is also always strikes me as so appropriate...

Yep, that post is a blatant advert and we should sm...

Okay I had to come back here after I saw the number of replies that landed in my e-mail . . . I'll offer an unreserved apology to anyone who genuinely got annoyed with this okay? I guess there's one exception because of the "New Language" used :-) I do have a problem in that I have enormous enthusia...
