Be The One!

Okay, if you HAD to choose, which would you rather your kids emulate - Britney Spears or Marilyn Manson?

<font face='Comic Sans MS'>i don't have kids, but if i did i would want them to learn to think for themselves. i don't believe that's britney's message. i havent heard much of manson's lyrics but i think he's giving society the finger, so manson it is.

and as a nod to last nights craze in the chatroom,

dark beer or light beer?

Dark beer! Because we brew the best dark beer (bitter) in the world here in Yorkshire, England.

On the same subject - the beer drinking Rick of the 70's (remember the beer bottles on top of the keyboards on Yessongs!), or the teetotal, reborn christian Rick of today?

<font color=maroon>well, since Rick is back and feels happy, the Rick of today should do it.

Ray Wilson.

Just kidding!

Peter Gabriel, for maintaining his musical integrity after Genesis.

A definite no to Phil Collins for turning Genesis into a shit pop/rock band!

Yes, with or without the orchestra? (we are talking live here!)

<font color=maroon>NO orchestra next time
(I liked it, but I have seen it now, also on DVD, so...)

A classic battle now:

i like
all good people-starship trooper-yours is no disgrace-perpetual change
more than
roundabout-long distance runaround-heart of the sunrise-south side of the sky BUT
FRAGILE gets my vote here in a close one cause it was so different sounding than anything put out in that era, and i think was more responsible for propeling YES into what it came to do for the next number of years such as CTTE, TALES, RELAYER and GOING FOR THE ONE

the production was better, the synths were more extravengant, the lyrics were spacier, it was more mindblowing in total and i think made more people notice YES than TYA which was really good rock but not so standoutish or different

i hope i didn't start a major war, they're BOTH topnotch albums
but i hope you see what i mean when i talk about Fragile being a little bit more special

Peace

ok, so i forgot again to do another this or that

but i want to hear what you guys think about the yesalbum fragile debate

anyway

THIS? - perpetual change studio
THAT? - perpetual change YESSONGS
THE OTHER? - perpetual change boot of your choice

<font color=maroon>The YesSongs version. It got the Bruford solo and although the studio version is nice and clear, it faded out too soon, I think
(it always seems there was something more to come)

I've seen all good people:

they are two completely different songs

i love the vocals in part 1 and the bass in part 2

it's a tie

i'll let this one continue till someone picks one over the other
