Hmmm - that DOES include a Friday/Saturday night - might be doable actually, provided I have the cash to book a flight/hotel . . .

I'll keep ya posted, Amy! :D

Be SURE to keep me posted, Diane! Tickets go on sale the 11th. I know now that Saturday is a sure thing for us. I'd like to go at least another day, just not sure which one. Also, if you decide to go, let me know which airport you'd fly into. If Newark, which is only 45 minutes from our house, your room and board would be free. :D

Is that February 11th they go on sale, Amy?

And thanks for the offer of room and board - that's extremely kind of you! :)

Wow, really! Were people badgering him terribly?
I would flip out if I saw him at a TMB show. I'd try to be cool, but I'd be ready to burst with excitement.

I LOVE that Gensis era. I LOVE Peter Gabriel's solo work - we have two great concert DVDs of his. I want to see The Musical Box. Since I probably won't be able to see them in concert. I shall order the DVD from their website. I want to see what all the talk is about.

I've been waiting here so long.....
and all this time has passed me by.....
It doesn't seem to matter now....

You stand there with your fixed expression!
Casting doubt on all I have to say!
Why don't you touch me? touch me!
Why don't you touch me? touch me!
Touch me now, now, now, now, now!
Now, now, now, now, now
Now, now, now, now, now
Now, now, now, now, now ...

I saw the Musical Box and their presentation of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway some months ago in Rahway,NJ. It was a great show. They actually were outfitted in the actual stage outfits Genesis wore around this time period, the props were licensed to them by the actual Genesis.
What was most amazing was the authentic deatil to the music. Instrumentally, these guys simulated them to a tee. The lead singer had all of Gabriel`s stage antics down pat. The most impressive part of the evening was the drummer. If that`s how Disney Phil drummed back then, his recent endeavors make this tragic misuse of his talent all the more sadder. He was a Musician with a capital `M'. Now he is nothing more than a corporate huckster, shilling for Eisner and cartoon music.
A great show nevertheless. I won`t say anymore...............................

By the way: The Musical Box play in Europe these weeks and two days ago (Geneva) Phil Collins joined the band. He played the drum on the encore.

Hey
Are they playing in Europe now?
Where can I find info? I've always wanted to see this band, especially the Selling England tour, they did that some years ago, is it only The Lamb now?. The Lamb is the only Gabriel-era Genesis I have seen live. (But it would be great to see that as well with the Musical Box)

BTW. Is there any good dvds out with Gabriel-era Genesis?

Hey Hennie,
Here is their official website:
http://www.themusicalbox.net/

They are in Germany beginning on the 4th, and will be there for over a month. After that, they will tour around Europe more and wind up in the States in late June. :)
I first saw their Selling England show last July, which was phenomenal. I saw The Lamb show in December and enjoyed it immensely (although their SE show had a slight - very slight - edge). People who had seen the original Genesis Lamb show commented profusely on the amazing similarities.
I happen to be on the lookout now for decent Gabriel-era DVD footage. My starting point is at the following forum: http://hit.demonhosting.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi/YaBB.cgi

If I find anything, you'll hear about it here. And if anyone else knows of anything floating around, do let us know!

Thanks for the info. Nowhere near Scandinavia. They have never been here in the outskirts of the world. I will certanly try to catch a show in the UK in april.
Thank for the Genesis link. I'll look into it.
