I tried to listen to the teaser but it won't play . . . :(

I hope they tour somewhere close enough for me to go see them - PT and Dream Theater are my top favorite bands these days - I did manage to see PT once on the last tour, and it was a FANTASTIC show!

Well I've been listening to it repeatedly for the last day or so, and while it hasn't grabbed me with the same force that the Deadwing sampler did, it is starting to grow on me.

I confess to being one of those that wasn't too impressed by the live stuff they tested on us in London last December -- even though I admire them for having the balls to do it.

That said, this is definitely the most eagerly awaited release of 2007 for me.

I just don't want it to be PT's Tales from Topographic Oceans, you know?

It's being hyped by the fanbase and SW's talking about 70s style proggy treatments and well, I am a bit concerned.

Plus, while I like the heavier elements of the last two albums, I don't want them to go too far down the Opeth path. I bought Ghosts of Perdition on the strength of SW liking Opeth and, well, it's not my bag baby as Austin might say.

Guess they'll find out how the new, "Tales"like work is received when
they play on the same bill as Dream Theater and company at:

GODS OF METAL FESTIVAL in June '07....

It seems the cat is out of the bag in terms of the sneak previews. It's widely available on the net now.

Apparently you can find downloads of track one and six at sendspace:

Fear of a Blank Planet

Sleep Together
http://www.sendspace.com/file/qir3ii

look for the little orange arrow and download.

PS> I will definitely be buying this album now I've heard the full versions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
