Wow, some great clips...
Maybe I'm dumb for not noticing this earlier, but I had no idea YES have been using the same opening theme song since the freakin 70s.......
Wow... that makes is so much cooler, haha...
...What's that "Colors of the Rainbow" song??? I've never heard that one before. o_o

I'm no expert on this but Yes used "Also Sprach Zarathustra" in the early days before switching to the section from the Firebird Suite for the Fragile tour (I think). I don't think Firebird featured on the Solos Tour as most boots I have start with Sound Chaser I think. Firebird returned for the GftO tour (Colours of the Rainbow was a tour song wasn't it?). Then in 1978 and the Tormato Firebird gave way to Close Encounters of the Third Kind before giving way to Britten's [sic?] Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra on Drama Tour (1980). Cinema kicked off in the Trevor Rabin years (or Almost like LOve) and by Union we were pretty much back to Firebird again. OYE tour had that ambient track (which I loved BTW), Young Persons Guide To The Orchestra has returned since then but since 2003 (I think) it's been pretty much Firebird all the way again.Kalingzeye wrote:Wow, some great clips...

Dave.
PS. This from Henry Potts' site:
What was the "Colors of the Rainbow" song that Anderson sang live in 1977?
[From Steven Sullivan] The song is called "The Beautiful Land" (see lyrics), but Anderson only sang the first few verses. It comes from a 1965 Broadway musical called "The Roar of the Greasepaint, the Smell of the Crowd" by Anthony Newley & Leslie Bricusse.

I've got this on DVD, it's pretty rough. By far my favorite Yes tour ever. I've still got the program too. I can't even guess how many times I've found the program after an extended "loss" and just submersed myself in it. What a great time in Yes History.
Ben Franklin discovered it, but it took Bob Moog to find it's proper use.
