Keep returning to the thought that there was a time when you could hear music like this all over the radio. Is it just me, have I fogey-ized so much that I'm missing all the wonderfulness out there on the airwaves, or are we harkening back to a time that was more of an audio Nirvana?

(Suspect the latter!lol)

Haha yeah, my dad played a bit of MO for me about a year and a half back and I was mildly unimpressed till it listened to it a few more times and realized what time John was playing in... 9/8 definitely throws me off a little bit :D .

On Sundays, they have a blues show from 11 AM until 2 PM or thereabouts... it's awesome...

It's not really Slayer per se, but a MIDI version from a level in Doom that I'm currently on... it's surprising how faithful the MIDI is to the actual song :D .

NP: Necrophagist - Seven from the album "Epitaph".

This band probably pulls off some of the weirdest time changes of any band ever... one song, can't remember which at the moment, goes from 11/16 to 4/4 to 9/8 to 13/8 in a 45 second period, but still maintains a flowing rhythm.

That single you speak of is catchy as hell. I prefer the remixes but Umbrella itself is quite a number.

Also, Tribute, good on ya with the Tool and Opeth.
