good golly we're getting pummelled with snow. It's rather cool though because it's sticking to all the trees and everything . It's very festive, Like a holiday.

fantastic desert view..."went to the desert on a horse with no name"

My 3 nephews, ages 5, 7, 11, ( i think) ran out into the street to chase peacocks. My sister yelled at 'em for several minutes. It can be busy at suburban rush hour and a dangerous street.

I'm just feeling good about getting out of the rain (and snow showers)
to continue that lyric...

Actually OFF the next two days.....eat sleep eat sleep

If I were IN the desert I could remember my own name...

Just got my haircut. About 5 inches off.

Old pics a few weeks ago, of me with long hair in Palms Springs, in the desert east of L.A. That's an indian woman looking for her sister who drowned in the hot spring. Local indian myth. As 1/16 native American, I qualify for the Cherokee Nation citizenship

Other pic is to attract local peacocks

On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound

Ive been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
cause there aint no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead

You see Ive been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
cause there aint no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

After nine days I let the horse run free
cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with its life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love

You see Ive been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
cause there aint no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> GA_googleFillSlot("lyricsfreak-300x50-btf");</SCRIPT><SCRIPT src="http://partner.googleadservices.com/gam ... "></SCRIPT>

Man, wish I could edit of that pic with my fat stomach :-o

Sh*t!!

I'd prefer to grow it down to my tailbone, but it is just hassle to take care of.

Get me a seat on the next space shuttle.

Yeah green glade, I would had let my hair keep growing if it kept looking good, and wasnt in the way. When I got to be 40, it just started to look different, then I kept it in a pony tail all the time, WHY?, so I just cut it off.

Yes man, we just bought a Flock Of Seagulls dvd 3 weeks ago, and I must say, not to shabby.

Besides, I like seagulls, They fly in, sqwuak at every one, eat evry thing they see, shit all over the place and leave, Heck I have freinds that have worse manners

When I was young My Brother had a little box of Alka seltzer.
I was feeding Seagulls scraps of my sandwitch.
He threw the Alka Seltzer to them and they exploded

I was horrified he would do that to the friendly birds

But

IT WAS SOOO COOL TO WATCH!

Woke up from a nap and had a few handfuls of Fruit Loops left over from nephews visit..

I quote YESMAN 90125, in his post against me:" Luckily since our previous drawn out encounter I've run across[political] Idiots like you often on forums (though arguably none as ignorant)
and now I understand much more clearly where your mentality is at"

This above is reason for Yesman to be banned.

He just showed disrespect by using the word "idiot". He has violated terms and conditions of use on Yestalk.

Several months ago, I got banned right after Yesman edited his post, and he used obscenities against me, but quickly erased them the moment N2Yes the moderator started reading that political .
If N2Yes had been online and seen what Yesman wrote, just a split second before Yesman edited his post, he would have been banned for 3 months or whatever, back last spring when I was banned

Yesman has the right to disagree, but so do I. His insults to me are direct. I never insult or provoke anything.

Feeling quite abused today. My notion of human rights, freedom of speech, and the ideals formed in my youth about a pacifist Yes utopia have been crushed. :(

In some sense vindicated, but I see that victory only lasts until the tide of opinion turns again.

Woe is me. Marytr-like I walk bruised through the halls of a paradise lost.

GG - this isn't utopia, unfortunately. There really IS no utopia. Your political ideals ran up against someone who doesn't share them, and that's just the way of it - we don't all agree politically, and never will.

That's why I prefer to post on threads like this, where we can talk about our lives, and get to know each other as people, instead of political labels . . . :)

ATM I'm at the office for the first day since Monday morning - had a terrible sore throat/achy/congested thing that has laid me up since Sunday . . . I only came in Monday to do some approvals that I couldn't do at home because my internet THERE is down . . . went to the doctor right after that, and have been either at home in bed, or at doctor's offices ever since (J.J. got it too - so I had to take HIM).

I am feeling better today, and glad to be out here among all you good folk . . . I've missed being here . . . :)

No, Virginia, there is no utopia. But remember Autopia, in Disneyland??

Hope you and JJ are on the mend, Diane. Double whammy, sick AND no internet!!

Today was Part II of my descent into dental hell. Last week I had a root canal, and today I went in for a crown. It will be completed the 18th. Painful, both literally and financially. All I want for Christmas is a painless back tooth!
