wow - love those caves! Reminds me of a cavern i saw in Southern Spain coupla years back - they'd set up in there to do concerts & plays too.. very Deanesque I thought @ the time!

wouldnt wanna play too loud in there.. could turn into a real 'rock' concert - yeowch!

ATM - at work - trying to play catch up since I was off yesterday.

Didn't bring my lunch today, and figured I'd get a salad at the canteen downstairs, only to find that the canteen is closed today for "unforseen circumstances" . . . so now I'm wondering what to eat - just drank some vegetable juice I brought from home, and I've got some yogurt in the frig, so I may just try to make do with all that until I get home. Or I may venture out of the building and see if I can find salad elsewhere . . .

Opted for the yogurt . . . it was Key Lime . . . yummy . . .

I've got a Cherry Vanilla in the frig too, if I'm still hungry, and 4 more cans of veggie juice . . . ;)

Guess I sound like Greenglade today, talking about the food I'm eating . . . lol

Go 'venture' Tardis! you might find something out there you didnt expect! I always prefer to get out of the building (when I'm working IN one) - need a change of scene.

At the moment tho, I'm working from home & it's all a bit too easy.. fridge, kettle, cupboard..

need to keep mobile, or I'll grow roots!!

Well, it's kind of cold and yucky outside today, so I'll save my "venture" for the trip home . . . then I just need to decide what food awaits there . . . I might make a pot of chili . . . I've adapted my mom's old Depression-era recipe to be a little more veggie-intensive, but it's still inexpensive, and easy to make . . . ;)

Nolan, seems you're feeding your body AND mind today . . . :)

That Cherry Vanilla is going down right now . . . yum . . .

Fixing to type up some changes to J.J.'s college admissions essays - he's been accepted at Columbia College in Chicago, and is also applying here in Nashville at Watkins - both schools have good film programs - the Watkins application is due by the end of the week.

And my nephew is at my house right now reinstalling system software on my computer, so keep your fingers crossed that I'll be able to get back on the internet from home!

Well, the good news is that my system software is reinstalled at home.

The bad news is that the internet still isn't working . . . :(

I'm still getting the same message as before - it can't initialize my IP address, for some reason. So, I'll have to call Comcast and get them to fix.

ATM I'm at work, and trying to finish revisions to a project plan for my director. Looking forward to a relaxing night tonight . . . it's been a hectic week . . .

ATM I just came home from a 5 km ski trip. We have some nice tracks just ten minutes walk from here.
It is hard to get back into shape. I haven't done this for about ten years when I used to ski ten km every day.
Now all I have to do is get off the nicotine again...

Tom - good luck quitting the nicotine . . . take a tip from Doogee, if he ever returns to tell us how long HE'S been smoke-free now!

No ski runs near here . . . lol . . . I'll have to settle for my daily walks up on 28th floor. The plus side is that I DO get an incredible view of Nashville from up there . . . the hills on the horizon are beautiful . . . :)

ATM I need to finish up those project plans - might have to take off early today and pick up my son/friend from school since I don't think his dad will be able to today.

You've actually been off the nicotine at some point in your life?! Oh, you mean that time when you ran out of cigarettes in the middle of the night and couldn't find an open store for two hours? :)

Sorry my dearest friend, had to pull your leg, just a bit! Great that you're out doing some cross-country.. I think it's one of the greatest ways of exercising/meditate during the winter half of the year. I'll join you for the next ski trip.

ATM: Just home after an extremly looong day! Watching a DVD to make me go to sleep (director and writer Lars von Triers - "Riket") and the effect is rather the opposite!

ATM at work, and thankful that it's FRIDAY!!!

It's been a long week - lots to do here, and I've been helping my son at home get his essays/portfolio ready to turn in for college admission/scholarships. PLEASE wish him lots of luck! That scholarship money may mean the difference for him!

He also made some edits to the movie he entered to the film festival in October. The finalists in that festival were eligible to have their films critiqued by the Nashville Film Festival, so J.J. did that and made the suggested changes, and entered it yesterday to the Nashville Film Festival . . . we should know over the weekend if his made the cut or not.

good luck with the Scholarship to TT Jnr - hope it all works!

ATM darkness is falling, but there's still plenty to do, Friday or no.. This working from home lark can get to be a real drag when there's no end to it.. and it seems like that at the moment.

just clear one thing, then - boom - in comes another. I just so want to get thro all this & get on to brighter, lighter, days.

running your own business means wearing so many different hats all at the same time, & I seem to be stuck in a phase where I'm wearing all the less exciting ones all at the same time.

still, better days must be coming - & we have plenty of work, which is a 'good thing' in these days..

These days, having work IS a good thing . . . :)

WE just found out here today that one of our heavy deadlines has been postponed til July 1, so that's a big relief.

I wear so many hats around this place it's crazy! I've often thought about getting some actual hats and labeling them so I can change them out as needed . . . lol

Back at the office after a hectic weekend . . .

Listening to some Dream Theater, and clearing through e-mail, etc. . . . I've got to revamp our project plan now that the deadline has been extended.

Copped 2nd row seats this morning for "Unwigged & Unplugged" . . . ;)

I need to replay my Spinal Tap CD's, and watch the film again . . .

Had a personnel issue here this morning at work . . . sigh . . . had to write something up for our director about it . . .

Just glad it's FRIDAY, at least . . . still working on that project plan the rest of the day.
