Well, better "luck" next time....
I'm going to pick my own Powerball numbers next time...
I let the computer do it this time..that's gotta be the "reason" I didn't win for everyone..

Luckily everyone's luck seems to be going ok anyway, including my own..
I did get enough $ from the insurance company to remove the damaged tree..

Tomorrow is yard/pool work day ...

AC man just called to confirm his arrival in the morning . . . a GOOD thing!

Celebrating a job in the structural analysis that I just got. I have worked hard, studied hard, and it paid off. I am the first person to be hired into that group without a masters, or PHD ever. you make of your life what you want, instead of crying about what you dont have. People can whine and cry about things they want to change, but never do anything that makes what they know or feel have an impact. I have never met some one yet who hated oil, or car companies, actually take the time to educate themselves to the point where they can do the job that they could make a difference. I build weapons, I hate them, but at least Im at the point where I can make a difference in the thing I have a passion for. I am celebrating my new position, even tho I have been outspoken against military waste and cost, Im am finally at a point where I can actually stand up for what I beleive in.

Congrats! So you're a glass "half full" kinda person...
Hopefully the weapons you build will keep others from wanting to use theirs on us..

Spent the past two days doing yardwork, including cleaning up all the broken limbs from the recent lightning strike in my front yard..

Ain't going to Europe yet, but going to Canada first time tomorrow for a few days. Have some friends I used to work with up there.

Not listening to Yes much these days, but actually watched TFTO on Keys Dvd Friday.

I've just been dubbed an "engineer" by the new promotion, so I guess I have to start thinking like one...

The glass isn't "half full", nor is it "half empty"... It's just the wrong size glass!!!

Waiting for the tile installer to finish grouting the tile, then on to carpet installers. I will be SO glad when all this is over with, this is worse than moving...

Hey, good luck with with hooking everything back up, Linda! It's a pain doing all that, I know.

Round 2 of my repairs starts next week - I've finally got some downtime between appointments where I can manage without my car for a few days, so I'm taking it to the transmission shop on Monday.

"A Mighty Wind" blew through Nashville yesterday and the rest of the tree struck by lightning a couple of weeks ago fell..Luckily it did not hit my car this time or the house, passing vehicles, etc Today the tree removal folks are busy in my front yard chipping away....

AND got to see "Little Richard" and his band night before last when they checked into my hotel.
He gave out a religous inspiration booklet with his autographed pic inside stating- "God Loves and Cares For You. Please Don't Ever Forget That"..

Took the car to the transmission shop this morning - they just called asking permission to take it apart and fix it - I said go for it!

Fingers crossed . . . hopefully I'll come in under budget with this one . . . :)

In an effort to entertain my daughters and niece this summer
I decided to re-create Stonehenge out of the remains of the big tree that was killed when struct by lightning in my front yard...

After Bethany and I saw "Spinal Tap" perform
their famous song "Stonehenge" last month at The Ryman that song has been
on my mind and after the tree cutters left last week I noticed that our front yard and those pieces of wood would be a nice match to create "WoodHenge"....

Here are a couple of pics of what our front yard looks like now. Traffic is slowing down in front
of the house which is a bonus too! Bethany is making a video from the videos she shot today and there will be appropriate music playing after the video is complete. I have three leprechauns scheduled for that shot tomorrow-actually my daughters and niece will portray those roles...and NOW all of their friends are getting an education as to what "Stonehenge" is, etc...

PS
The little pony shot is from the farm across the street from "WoodHenge"..Maybe we could use the pony tomorrow for one of the leprechauns to ride!?

Enjoy the Spinal Tap video until we can make/edit ours...
