Obama

Just about the only thing I liked about this guy was the fact that he said he was going to make getting federal loans for college easier, and I just found out that I'm getting half the help I was getting last year.
Where's the change I've been hearing so much about?

Just a reminder to all that political issues tend to get heated. While I'm OK with discussing them here in Other Skylines, let's all remember to be respectful of each other while doing so . . . :)

I can't speak to the student loan issue, as I'm just now getting into that one, and don't have prior years to compare to. My son graduated high school this year and is starting college in the fall. The help we've been offered is about what I expected - I knew we wouldn't qualify for the Pell Grant.

I'm sorry things are getting tight for you Keith - hope something opens up to help out!

Jfk, more of a republican then Bush jr
LBJ, another man who carelesly sent our youth to die.
But hey, try being in there shoes.
Nixon, yeah right, like he was antworse then the other presidents, at leat, for what ever reason, he brought our boys back.
Gerald Ford, upstanding guy, but not much happened.
Jimy Carter The second most, worse pres ever, one could argue, If it wasnt for him, we wouldnt be fighting terroist now.
Ronald Reagen, AWESOME, let America, be America, and it worked. I know a lot of people said he drove up the debt, but dont mention the growth in wealth to pay off that debt.
Clinton, Please, I pray for some one like him. At leat when Hilary care came out, you had a year to read about it, not a couple of hours.
BUSH JR, started off good, but showed himself to be a socialist. I must admit, better then the opposition, but not much. He backed Ideals and procedures, not of what this nation was founded on. Even tho he did a lot of good things, Like the Mafia, do charity work, and all is forgoten, Like Micheal Jackson.
Obama, Lier. I listen to what he says now, and what he has said before. I listen to his speaking, NOT WHAT I HERE FOR THE RADIO, OR THE TV. How Bush jr could have been made out to be so bad, evil, and to have obama take it three times further, is beyound me. I am not a party flag holder, bush jr was a socialist, Obama flat out wants to do things that are lies, in the cover of night, and make America, for all her faults, with out consideration for her greatness, and make it a europian country.. So why should we care about the 4th. if we are being railroaded in to being something other than America.
Right now, I say can them all. being a republican or demecrate is all about power, and sleeping with people other then your wife.

It is amazing, two things stick out about George Carlin. One, he wanted to live as long as posible, no matter what the cost, if he had only one brain cell working, then he said, keep me alive. Two, he hated Republicans. I wonder what he would have said, if he had heard obamas speech, where he said old people should embrace death, and we spend way to much money to keep the old alive.
