On the basis that Pat Moraz likely DID indeed write much of "Awaken" and some other parts of GFTO (and this has popped up several times), I'm gonna stir the pot and say:

Guitar: Trevor Rabin
Keyboards: Pat Moraz
Drums: Bill Bruford

Now could THIS lineup have done some crazy Mahavishnu-inspired jamming, or what??

Oh, and we'll stick with Jon as a singer... although if it's a jazz fusion album, there might be no need for a singer!!

even though pat moraz didn't help write awaken.

And if that firelight, I could match the inner flame; sacred ships do sail the seventh age, and have always been here.

I'm sure this could go on forever but.... I have read in more than one place this debate. Patrick says he did, he is credited on GFTO, the "High Vibrations" bit was played during the 75 / 76 tour that Patrick was with them, so .........

Indeed... I HAVE heard this, so there's no doubt about that. And it seems to be not at all unreasonable to say that Patrick would have written (or helped written) several other parts of the song/album.

Anderson
Howe
Squire
Wakeman
White

I remember in the 80's I thought the days of Yes playing "Awaken" were over. It was devastating. It seemed to me that Yes West wasnt going to be the same caliber band anymore.

Its good to have the classic lineup back.

John - vocals
Chris - bass
Trevor - guitar
Rick - keys
Alan - drums

At least this line up would play the stuff the latest Yes wont play ! But then i would like to see steve walk out and replace trevor and do the secong half of the show with the trad Yes numbers.

I like
Squire
Anderson
Howe
Wakeman
White
but wouldn't it be nice to see for an opener...
Horn (vocals)
Khoroshev (keys)
Sherwood (bass, vocals)
Rabin (guitar, vocals)
Bruford (electronic drums)

it might be some treat to see these two configurations try to out-do each other.
