TVM II: The Saga Continues

Post: # 443Post N2yes

At TVM, I am listening to "Can't Find My Way Home" by Blind Faith. This is such a great song with Stevie Winwood really singing his heart out. However, as good as it is, I have "The Remembering" waiting in the wings.

It's been a pleasurable week off from work and I can safely say that I don't look forward to Monday morning where I believe it has already fallen on our friends in the eastern hemisphere. I can't imagine Monday being considered a worthwhile endeavor when you look at overall productivity. Maybe we should present a rational argument based on this premise and petition for a day off. Hmmm...

STOUTMAN!!!

Don't GO!!!

No one is perfect! I've said many things I wish I could take back. I was NOT offended by your post. You are free to express yourself here. You DIDN'T offend ME! We can't go through life in fear of offending anyone. That's impossible; no matter HOW nice a person you try to be! When we make mistakes, we pick ourselves up and try again. Don't give up. Count it as a learning experience and keep going! We all have lessons to learn. We NEVER stop learning as long as we have breath!
Please stay!

Wondering if this chilly weather is ever going to subside. Damn, I'm such a wimp when it comes to cold weather. I mean, it's hasn't even been that cold this winter. It will be about 19 degrees in the morning. And, a damned winter storm is on the way. YUK!!!!!!!

Oh well, I guess it's all the more reason to crank the heater and crank some YES!!!!!!

Alright, I've gone from looking for something else to do, besides my work I need to catch up on, to fully procrastinating. Sad, but true, I simply have too much work to do. So, with that, see ya' all later, for the time has come for Altair to fly outa' here.

After a really s..t weekends work and more to fly when the boss gets back, the post mortems on what went wrong have started. The offending object has arrived and duely stripped and found what broke. Now we have to find out why. The parts are tested to destruction and had this part self detructed or what!! Oh well try something new and see what happens. The problem is that it has to be done and sorted by next weekend at the latest. Loads of overtime here I come. Chilling out to Magnification over the headphones whilst surfing think I need a drink (the bottle of Glenmorangie Malt looks inviting).

Come on Guys!!!!! What am I? I am nothing!!!! Don't you have enough members here who plenty of better things to say than what I say about red meat and the Aussie mcDonalds theory. I won`t touch the `Jacko'one again, except to respond to other members about concerns they may have.
Changer,I`m glad you`ve got my e-mail.I meant every word I said. And N2,I sent you an e-mail as well, but I think it had problems getting through to your new e-mail address. N2,you are not a sorry ass,as you stated in your e-mail, but you and Changer are pain in the asses nevertheless. Can`t let a guy just wander off,can you?
But seriously, thank you,the both of you. I`m not going to get into gushy sentimentality, because tough guys don`t cry in public, but i have to ask you two,`Where the hell have you been all my life'?
I guess i can ask the same question of all of you who forgave for that idiotic moment.I don't know too much about anything,as a matter of fact I`m C.R.S.(Can`t remember Shit),but i do know one thing. Yes fans are simply the greatest fans on the face of this earth. If they can take a punk like me back into the fold, than humanity is not bad after all.
I`m onto a good thing here and i would be stupid to walk away from here.N2,I promise to use better tact, but i won`t be any less flaky(not talking about dandruff). I can`t help that part of my personality. Myself joining this site along with getting a bass guitar and reacquainting myself with that instrument I had attempted to play as a teen are two of the best things i have done recently.
Once again, thanks to you all,and take a bow,you are all fantastic people and I was really knocked out by the support. After a long day,it was a pleasure to see al those cool messages.
Am I making you folks gag? I said I wouldn't gush,butI did,now I have
to stop. I might cry,and I don`t want to do that. I have an image to protect. Thaks again,Chris

At TVM, I'm FINALLY at YesTalk! If I hadn't visited tonight I swear I would have started TesTalk withdrawal, can't stand being away this long. I am very very tired at this very minute, for the last week all I've done is come home, shower, change clothes and leave again. When I arrived home this evening there were 200 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies piled in my kitchen,,,,,,all I could do was laugh. Some evening soon, I'm going to spend the whole night online with my YesTAlk compadres.

You know, my deputies all say that about me. But it's me they want on the radio when the shit hits the fan, so who am I to complain if they call me names?

Yes, Stout, my dear friend, I'm a major pain in the ass. But I don't open my mouth unless it's a subject I care deeply about. Obviously, since I talk my head off at this forum, I care a LOT about Yes. But I also care about the people who help me forget about the inescapably stupid stuff that goes on in my life and you, stout, are one of them.

TVM I'm sitting here, thinking I should be in bed since I'm quite sick. But I slept from 8am yesterday morning until 2:30 pm, got up for a couple of hours, went back to bed and got up at 9:30 pm to call out sick from work, then went back to sleep until 11:00 this morning.

TVM I'm contemplating filling out that application for the Kennedy Space Center's security division and wondering if it's my job that's making me sick.

TVM, listening to Genesis live (Thanks Ray!), swigging beer, and responding to you guys . . .

Entoo, I'm thinking we should have a TVD topic--this very day. Today, I bought Neil Young's Decade, got Eddie Jobson and Genesis from Ray, and bought a new Dali print, "Hallucinagenic Matador," and had a really fantastic quesadilla . . .

Stoutman, I'm glad you're back, but you mis-read my post! I just think we should all agree to pick on some untalented, stupid dweeb! Doesn't anyone want to pick on Gene Simmons? He's a big boy, exploits his ignorant fans, is a sexist, and is ugly. Fuck Gene Simmons!

BTW, the Osbournes was the funniest thing I've seen on MTV since Bevis and Butthead! I literally rolled off the couch laughing, holding my sides last night! My sides hurt after seeing Ozzie watching The Tonight Show with his security guard--

Oh, I'm thinking of setting up a live web-cam looking out my window. I live on a route from the cop shop to the ghetto, and there's always something happening outside. High school kids always yell up here because of my Union Jack ("Hey dude, do you know The Who? They Rock dude!"), cop cars are always busting downtown revelers, and my street is the main street to the halfway house. You don't need cable if you can look out the window and see "Cops" or "Jerry Springer" live. There was a fantastic lesbian fight last fall, and it's just getting warm outside . . .

Home early for once!! Listening to Zozo by the Zep at the moment, haven't listened to it for a while. There are some great tracks apart from "stairway to heaven".
The boss got back today and suprise he was in a good mood? Good progress has ben made today and we think we have solved the problem. It is a part we out source and not made in house. It will be now!
Not alot to do tomorrow apart from writing up reports and going down the pub lunchtime.
We are relocating shortly and we have had a look see at our new place. State of art facilities, clean rooms, a new wind tunnell, new computors (again) thanks Sun Microsystems, and lots more room. About this time next year is the finish of the move so looking forward to that.

TVM I am playing with my birthday present - a Handspring Visor! Like a Palm Pilot for those who don't know ... you haven't missed my birthday yet, but today was purchase day.

I'm also worried for my friend who's being investigated. It looks really bad, to the point where he said to me today on the phone, "You know you are the only person from this place I will be keeping in touch with."

At TVM, I'm listening to "I Could Have Waited Forever" and thinking about where in the hell I put my scanner power cord. Damn, poltergeist!!

TVM I just reread this thread and I'm thinking prof and I must have lived around the corner from each other once ... sounds like my neighborhood in Philly ... I never watch Springer anymore, I get my fill at work.

I'm also thinking how COOL it is that I figured out how to get my home e-mail to turn up on my pocket device! That's so awesome!!!

I just can`t get ove r the kind responses I`ve gotten. It is such a pleasure to come here and escape cold, hard reality for a while. I wish i could move here and not have to face up to reality that is life, but what can you do.
Proff, thanks for welcoming me back, but I don`t want to pour gasoline on your fire. You said it best about Gene Simmons, butI have trouble putting out my own fires. I`m still not sure if I have completely been forgiven for that. I guess when people see ugly criticism coming from another, certain folks form an opinion, and think,`He`s got a wire down,or possibly worse.'

Stout, TVM I'm thinking it would be hard to have your wires as crossed as mine are (I have an illness that screws with my brain chemistry and never in a consistent manner, ya know) but I manage and so will you. You will learn to put out fires. In the Navy, it's an all-hands thing, you have to fight fires whether you want to or not, or you'll be buried at sea. Life is kind of like that too. You're all right, you just don't know it yet.

Life is good!

Uh, I'm smoking a bowl, nursing a Guiness, and listening to Neil Young's "Cowgirl In The Sand." I know, you're probably thinking, "What atypical behavior for theproffet, he usually meditates, eats a bowl of rice, and heads for bed!" But I was disturbed tonight, and pissed off obout half the human race . . .

No, no, no, MY half . . .

I used to enjoy going out on the town with a few mates, but now, they just embarrass me. All my friends see women as a competitive sport, and this crap is getting on my nerves. I know lots of male friends, and lots of female friends, but there's no way I can be sociable. I don't want to introduce any of my girl friends to the guys I know: They're all ammoral preditors.

One of my girl friends tonight was talking about how much guys suck, and I had to agree.

Women do have their faults, but considering the options, I'm really glad I'm a hetrosexual male. Being a nice guy is like being a pearl in an outhouse--considering all the shit there, how can you miss appreciated?

Ah, that was my take on things tonight . . .

I can't believe it's 4pm already. I just finished re-casing my CD's. Well the Yes (and related) collection now has it's own CD album. And the rest are back in their individual cases, instead of lying about the house, soon to be alphabetically arranged.

I'm wishing I lived closer to prof though. The bowl, the Guinness, and my philosophy of women (not bothering them unless they want to be bothered), might get me close to meeting some really interesting new people. But six hours, that's too damn far. C'est la vie.

TVM I sit here, my eyes tired and burning from working on the computer all day at work. Yet somehow I managed to drag myself over to my monitor and read, even though my eyes are shot! This is my way of relaxing and escaping after a hard day. I love to read your posts, add my two cents, listen to a little YES before going off to bed for the night!
