A real classic!! This was actually the very first Genesis album I ever bought so it holds a special significance for me anyway. :D

I was gonna say something but decided not to. Yesterday, I was listening to Genesis at the UK Reading Festival 1972 followed by a radio broadcast from 10/20/72 at the Rainbow Theater in London. I hadn't heard the bootleg in a couple years but realized that it sounded a little too familiar. After a little research I found out it's the same show used as the source for most of disc three of the Genesis Archives box set.

Listening to/watching "Tommy" on Flix . . . haven't seen this since I saw it first run at the Belle Meade Theater here in Nashville back in 1975 - definitely a "flashback"!

A copy of this boot came to me yesterday in the mail from a good friend of mine and he'd neglected to label the discs as to which was "Disc 1" and "Disc 2" .... so that's why Disc 2 here is shown as being played first.

Sound quality on this is excellent!! :D

Disc 2 of this Genesis boot was just about over when I first posted it and that's why there's only 9 minutes separation between listening to the two discs ......

Is that the FAde 004 release? I was reading about it the other day, but don't remember the date. Certainly different artwork than what you posted, though.

I'm assuming here, khalpin, that this question is directed at me? If so, then the date on the recording I have here is 11.29.74 ... The disc also came with a Peter Gabriel interview to coincide with that evening's performance. (The band also played an 11.30.74 show as well at the same venue.) As far as the particular label / catelogue number you're asking, I have no clue as this was a CD-R recording from a friend of mine ....

Hope this helps. :)

Gotcha. I thought the interview was part of the same 3 CD set of the Montreal '74 show, of which there was also a radio interview. That Montreal show is the same version as FAde 004. Me thinks I will try and track down a copy of it, as the mp3 sample at the site sounds pretty damn good and I don't have any soundboards from the Selling England tour.

Renaissance: Greatest Hits Live discs 1 and 2

Live at the Royal Albert Hall, London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (directed by Harry Rabinowitz). Recorded October 14, 1977, remixed in 97 from the original 24 track masters. Absolutely WONDERFUL. Annie Haslam's voice, spanning 5 octaves of auditory bliss....... what better way to slodge through a day at work? AAaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........
