Abscent no more?

Hi all!
It's been a very long time since I posted, or even lurked the corridors of Yestalk. During abscense I have spent my time with my lady and step-daughter and really plunged into family life. I have also been busy with my studies, wich still go on. How I love the life of academia!

So what is going on?
The music is still my major source for income, but I have cut back a lot in doing solo gigs to be with my new family instead. Besides, it's no longer fun to go away alone for weekend tours. Hence the studies. I hope to be able to convince editors that I am the best they can find when it comes to translating literature.

Talking about music, one of my bands called it quits about two years ago. Then this spring we were told that one of our recordings had found its way to a record company who put it on a compilation CD. Apparantly our track happened to be on the playlists during the spring of some french, dutch and british radiostations who contacted us for more material!
So, what we have here is a Blues Brother's situation. All of a sudden there is this telephone call: "We're putting the band back together!" So we are now in the process of recording an album of our country-rock music.

That's just a little information for the time being. I hope to be able to stop in here soon again.

So very good to have you back, sir!! You have been missed and a few things have changed in your absence, things of a positive nature or shall I say, more progressive nature. You can now feel free to edit your own post, new forums, new mods etc. Check it out when ya can.
Good luck in your academic and musical endeavors. We are looking forward to reading you again soon. Take care.
