I've just had some Wakeman therapy!! Listened to Wives and King Arthur back to back.I have been working for nearly four weeks non stop. I have now got a few days off to recover. It was all worth it with a great result on Sunday at Monaco.
Michelle, greatly interested in your dog. I have never heard of a "Blue Tick Hound" so I had to do a search on the web to find one. Great looking dog! I use two of mine for hunting here in the UK. One is a all round HPR breed and the other is a terrier hound cross for when I go beating. The GSD is just here because we love him to bits!!

Aren't they beautiful? As a breed they have sweet personalities, and they're great with kids.

Here's my baby! Almost three years ago, we were out walking one night and he followed us home. Three days later, we were finally able to track down his owner and she didn't want him! And he's so cute!

A friend of mine just put his GSD down ... never met a more regal dog in my life. That dog was a king and he knew it. I miss him.

Meesh, you dog looks very sweet and gentle. Give that pup a hug for me.

@TVM, I am remembering something which happened yesterday, something I had never seen before. I was in my driveway changing a headlight on my car near dusk when I heard the rush of beating wings approaching. Expecting to see a familiar "V" of Canadian geese, I looked up and to my amazement had 7 huge pure white swans fly past me 25 ft. directly overhead in perfect "V" formation!

I am not often surprised like this anymore.

And you're about to start work on your fifth symphony!

Couldn't resist - this is probably the most obscure jest ever posted on Yestalk - but that observation is about as close as you'll get to Sibelius's famous anecdote regarding the inspiration for a passage from one of his greatest hits. (It is a pretty awe-inspiring piece, BTW).

Jo, I'm glad you had a good time at the aquarium, but sorry about the migraine!!!
I wish we lived closer to Monterey, as we'd probably be at their aquarium almost every weekend! LOL..

TVM I am waiting to find out if we got the apartment we were looking at...time to move out of the 1 bedroom and into a larger place! And out of the San Fernando Valley...we're tired of our cars getting broken into!!

Thought you were going to do Tales therapy!

TVM I'm thinking about how I'm going to handle a situation with my trainee. Another training officer caught her sleeping last night. So I have to document it.

I think they're about to scrub the shuttle launch, it's ominously dark outside and they've been predicting thunderstorms all day.

N2; TVM,I`m thinking that you should have titled this thread `Dogs R Us'. To everyone ,your pets are beautiful. It almost makes me want to go out and purchase a dog. But since i`m hardly ever around,it wouldn`t be fair to the canine. I saw a beautiful Siberian Husky today; it was quite playful, cute and friendly. I love those dogs. But there were also dogs today that pictured yours truly as `Alpo'. Thank god they were locked behind fences. There is something about mailmen or delivery couriers that turn dogs on; What it is I don`t know.
I got complimented by one of my managers for `hammering' out one of the tougher pickup routes in the station. And I started into that run late, since I was making deliveries in another area. That dispatch unit kept beeping with hour window oncall stops(This meant I had to get to those stops within the hour they popped up) This is not an easy feat with traffic or certain situations you might have with customers such as not having the proper supplies or helping a customer fill out forms. Instead of getting written up for nonsense,it felt good for a change to be complimented. My confidence is easily shaken and I needed that boost. Well,as one of my coworkers, said to me,I am the `Hammer' of Staten Island' Whenever there is a mess,Stout is sure to clean it up.
Hey,this may seem like ego-brandishing,but it felt good. I almost never get complimented.

Compliments can be hard to come by, I know. So here goes Stout, good job, you're the best!!!!

Headaches gone, thank god, took alkaselzer night time pain reliever and slept like a baby. Although anyone whos had a baby knows that is a stupid saying, cause they don't sleep so good.

TVM cleaning the pool area today, summer is finally coming, going shopping for london broil and margarita stuff, having a party tommorrow night by the pool!!!!!

Jo,thanks for the compliments and I really do hope that you are feeling better. And that party sounds like it will be a killer. I hope you have fun.
TVM,yours truly is on vacation and will be journeying out to Southern California in a couple of days. I can`t wait and I just hope the friggin` plane doesn`t crash or get hijacked, that`s all. Stout is so burned out lately he is starting to identify with posatl workers,or worse yet,Michael Dougalas` character from the movie,`Falling Down',where he snaps from the everyday pressures of life. Great movie.
If I like it out there so much, all of you will never see me again. I`m going to try my hand in the movie business; Hell,I have done acting in the past and I`m just as good looking as any of the young punks currently on film. I could even act them under the table but Stout has never been given the chance. These girls that worked in a tuxedo place remarked I loooked like Chad Lowe. Hey,I have looks after all. Whaddya know?
Yes,when I`m feeling good,I get cocky and arrogant but something will crash me down to earth soon. But hey, acting is better than working in a hot tin box on wheels. And I feel I can do this. Why should I be a miserable bastard all my life. I should take a chance.
If something positive happens,I just want to say Goodbye to all of you and thanks for making my stay pleasant.
Who knows? I might be back here soon after all. It sounds like a pipe dream, but dreams keep me going. You never, ever know.

Good Luck, Stout

Just remember every dog has it's day. Someone's got filled that position, might as well be you. But if you get busy and famous, you better stop by here once in a while.

The party was terrific, I didn't want it to end, summer is so wonderful, I don't how I survive the winter, I need the warmth, the balmy breezes, being outside all the time, why do I live outside Philly? Oh well, too late, I'll have to savor the summer here!!!!

What's up Stout, are you still here?

TVM I'm reflecting on the outcome of a very full day.

Spent the first part at my aunt's house playing in her new pool, complete with an 8-foot slide. I had fun but my legs are killing me and will probably continue to kill me tomorrow. Still, it was good to sit around and not have a care in the world.

In the evening I went to say goodbye to my dearest friend, who is going back into the military. The tears haven't come yet but they will, probably when my head hits the pillow.

A very full day, indeed, and it's not over until the laundry's done.
