Way cool! Thanks for sharing - wish I had been on that beach too back in '77 - coming from a state with no shoreline, I don't see the beach very often . . . :(

Yestalkers should all get together at the beach sometime! :D

Really cool vid. A great 'window' into the past. Would have loved to have been there (or even alive!).

I live on the English south coast. But even if I was cool enough to surf, I don't think the English channel is very good for waves. And the beaches are about 20 degrees colder than sunny California!

Yeah, the Pacific waves are the best . . . ;)

I've experienced some pretty good ones on the Atlantic side, and actually, there's a few spots along the Gulf of Mexico that aren't bad either, but nothing compares to the Pacific, I don't think. Those waves have lots of running room . . .

That is me and my friends. I am on first and third waves I think. It was a long time ago. Got a longboard 9'9" now, struggling to surf again...man it is hard unless you are really in shape
