My Concert Debut

I'm gonna be performing at my school's Christmas concert this year, and I've decided to play excerpts from the six wives! Its not the most Christmassy thing in the world but I thought it would be interesting to try out (and a good excuse to get to use more than one keyboard!).

Apparently about 500 people will be attending though, which is rather a lot for my first ever performance :(

If they film it I'l try and upload

I'll look forward to seeing that. I trust you will be wearing a cape? :)
I used to be agnostic. These days I'm not so sure.

LOL. Unfortunately I think everyone taking part has to wear the music dept polo shirts.

Can you concoct a Music Dept. cape? LOL

Seriously - looking forward to hearing/seeing this if you manage to record it - I'm interested in hearing how it goes over with the audience!

Good luck - you'll do great! :)

Thanks :)

I've been given access to a korg synth as well. I have no idea how to work the thing (so many knobs!) but if it's set up right all will be good.

I admire your courage to play something that's not in the spirit of Christmas for a school's Christmas concert. That's so rock n' roll! :D

It's a nice little Christmas gift for the kids to hear such a perfect piece of work (even though just excerpts) being played for them. It is Rick's greatest solo album, in my opinion. Hell, you might even inspire some of those kids to hunt down this classic album.

You should make the polo shirts into a cape and get a long blonde wig, just for good measure. ;)

If you do record this, please post it. It would be a real treat to hear. Good luck. :)

*I've noticed that the synth was in fact a Yamaha not a Korg.

You, sir, have more guts that I ever will by performing in front of an audience, especially with the material you chose.

I'm glad it went over so well for you. Hopefully, this is the first of many, many more successful performances.

Consider my cap well and trully doffed to you sir!

Let's hope for a film of the next show.

I would have doffed it twice had you worn a cape but one thing at a time :) .

Perhaps we'll all meet at a fan gathering sometime, and Hallway can serenade us with his talent . . . ;)

Yesfan music is great! I've met some very talented folks through the gatherings I've attended!
