More concert presales are coming!
From YesWorld:
Starting July 17 in Seattle, WA, the classic Yes lineup will hit the road with longtime collaborator and former band member Rick Wakeman for Classic Yes Tour 2002. According to Chris Squire, “We are very excited to have Rick joining us on this tour—it’s been something the fans have wanted to see for quite some time, and we are happy to be playing with him again.”
“I am so looking forward to this tour and hope that it may be just the start of more exciting musical events to come,” says Rick. “There is no greater band in the world and it’s always an honor to walk onstage as a part of Yes. This time around, there is no doubt it will be something special.”
YesWorld Internet Presales
Concert tickets for Classic Yes Tour 2002 will be available for a limited time on the Internet beginning Thursday, May 16 at 10:00 AM (in the time zone for the city listed). An added bonus: WindowsMedia.com will present some rare audio and video Yes content in conjunction with this event.
The entire tour itinerary for Yes' 2002 North American tour can now be found on the Tour page. More details on the presales--including passwords needed to purchase tickets--to be announced here soon!
Note: According to Yes' management they instruct the promoters to make 50% of the house available for Internet presales. They either split the venue in half or sell every other row.

I admit it, I'm panicking. I hope that they will divulge before wednesday what locations are going to be 'presold'. I know, I'm likely engaging in ticket jitters unnecessarily, but, I ( like many others )need to know and soon!! I feel like a heroin addict in need of a good bang and don't know where my next fix is coming from. Sorry, not the best comparison...tasteless and tactless...please forgive. I guess I won't be happy until Jon walks on stage!

I'm wondering a little about this myself.
In the past, Yesworld seats were extremely limited, and usually only 2 to a person.
This time, I need to get SIX tickets, so I'm getting worried about what the ticket limits will be.
The good news is that there will probably be better tickets for sale.I have a feeling that with most Yes fans in easy reach of Yesworld, they have enough power to force the promoters to make some good seats available to the sickos (that would be us).
Bravo to Yesworld for doing this for the fans!
Now, if they could figure out how to combine this kind of fan reward and ...like George mentioned elsewhere... get rid of ticketmaster at the same time, then we'd be in good shape. I'd much rather pay a ticket premium to Yesworld than TM.
[Please, please, let me get seats right behind Jane again]

This presale business has me confused from a marketing perspective. Rush is doing the same thing. This late in Yes and Rush's careers the band has a cult (for lack of a better term) following. At least strongly dedicated fans.
That being the case, why market a presale? The vast majority of Yes fans will know the passwords and dates of the sale, so why limit us to half the venue? It almost stands to reason to skip the presale and avoid the massive rush of dedicated fans to pick up better seats on the public sale date being that the average concert goer would be oblivious to the on sale date.
Am I missing something here?

N2, what's even worse, is that it looks like this is going to be 1pm in the east.

Thought it said 10 am in the city listed? Wouldn't that mean if the concert was on the east coast, that the tickets for New York would go on sale at 10 am eastern time?
