There's too much Yes on video for me to afford. <img src=pix/icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> Out of what I have though, QPR is my favorite. Great song selection, cool stage design. Plus it has Pat Moraz and his rediculous keyboard army. <img src=pix/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>Sure the sound mix is all fucked up and half the concert is in the daytime, but so what? It's worth it for the spectacle in "Ritual" alone.
House Of Blues - was a little bored when I saw the show, but I watched it for the first time in a while the other day and the performances are really tight and the band sounds great. Lots of Ladder tunes (not the better ones, IMHO), but still not bad. I wish Yes were this tight on the 2002 tour.
Yessongs doesn't need an explaination.
KTA - this completely sucks. The songs are played tightly, but the performances are beat. There's no spark to anything played here. Plus, Wakeman looks bored as hell and the visual effects are really annoying. Not to mention the horrid camera angles.
Yessymphonic isn't too bad either. Made for a better live show than DVD though. I'm glad they did this, but I'm even happier that they appear that they only wanted to do it that one time and never again. Surprisingly the two downers of this video are "Gates" and "Ritual" I just don't like the way they play these songs now, and they don't come across near as well without some creative staging/lighting. The rest of it is pretty good though.

There should be a complete list of the DVDs under the "gallery" section at www.yesworld.com ... now, of course I haven't looked so I don't know for sure, but logically it should be there. <img src=pix/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Aa you mentioned DVDs, I quote the following from the August issue of Record Collector:
Fragile will be issued on DVD Audio by Rhino in the US at the end of 2002. The Sourround Sound set will have the bonus of 'America', a time-line for 1968-71, lyrics, 50 photos by Roger Dean and Martyn Dean, and excepts of the Magnification DVD-A. It should be followed by a Close To The Edge DVD-A package in 2003.

I got thinking about this, and you know, I'm not sure that Live In Philadelphia is an official video/DVD release.

Technically "Live In Philadelphia" is official, it has to be, otherwise it'd be a bootleg and Best Buy wouldn't carry it. I don't think it was officially sanctioned by the band, but it's put out by Image, so it's legit somewhere along the line.
That being said, it's a short show, the picture and sound quality isn't great, and the performance is decent but not spectacular. If you were there, I suppose it'd be a good timepiece but don't expect anything great.
I haven't seen the QPR DVD, I wish I could. If I ever saw it in a store I'd probably buy it, but paying $25 for each disc (when both could easily fit on one disc, what a ripoff) is a little out of my price range if the quality is as questionable as I've been told it is.

Does anyone have the Dvd "Union Tour Live 1991".This is the Japanese release release of the Shoreline Ampitheather at Mountainview,Ca on August 8,1991.I see it on Ebay for $45-60 bids.Is it worth it? What other Dvd is it like or comparable to,such as sound or quality wise? Thanks!!<font color=limegreen></font id=limegreen><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=pix/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

No, but that's tough to do seeing as how I've never met anyone near my age who is into Yes. :( My ex-girlfriend's dad was pretty into them, he even borrowed my YesSongs DVD once, but I doubt I'll ever meet anyone who has the Union or QPR DVD's that I could borrow...

<font color=maroon>I suggest: Download it from a filesharing programme
(Download.com -mp3 -then- choose KaZaA, it's the best)
If you keep searching you will find:
'Axis of love'
'After the storm'
'She walks away'
and 'Is it love'
Paris sessions, other rare songs/versions and various live songs can be found here, too.</font id=maroon>

IMHO I thought the DVD was much better than my old VHS copy.
Its the same show as the VHS just a little better sound and picture. I thought it was worth my money.
I read somewhere that YES was REreleasing the Live in Philly DVD with extra footage and REmastered. I'll hold out for the Remastered version of that one since the first version was only like 57 minutes long!? 57 minutes for a DVD? What were they thinking?

ok, so i watched symphonic and keys
i liked them both
i like symphonic much better
i don't know what they were trying to do with the editing on keys
the playlists on both were excellent
got two out of four Tales between them
and Close to the Edge and And You And I on both of them
i'll have to watch them a few more times to have a real discussion on them
i also caught some of the documentary given in the symphonic one
steve takes a big jab at having to previously "deal" with other guitarists on an album he is on too
i think steve and rick both are going to blossom with this lineup
i hope to hear more newer and greater things from Yes next year even?
peace
