I am! I am a sap for Christmas music and this one will have Chris and another great Steve playing guitar - Hackett, that is. Due out 11/26 in time for the holidays! :)

I like a lot of Christmas music very much. I know what Squire and Hackett are capable of. The combination could be (should be!) really excellent. I'll get it, sure, hoping it's good.

Oh Amy, we know you're just horny for Hackett...hehehehehe.

But seriously, I'm looking forward to this release, too. Knowing what Hackett is capable of in this sort of vein really upped my interest in this CD. Besides that, it's just good that Chris releases something!

I don't think it's good that Chris releases something if it's lackluster. I've heard "Silent Night", and it's very pleasant to listen to - but where's Chris??
Let's just hope we hear More Squire on the album than what's on this song, which is seriously lacking anything remotely resembling what he's capable of pulling from that bass of his. At least I'm under the assumption he's still capable?

Mmmm....

Yes Band Member in Solo Disappointment Shock!!
I've read several less-than-enthusiastic reports of what's been released on this so far, and can't help but wonder whether it's the hope or the disappointment that's harder to live with.

I can't get enthused myself I'm afraid.

In case you did not know this already, there are a few sound samples that can easily be found at Yesworld.
I'm not sure how much vocals Chris does, it seems mostly to be the choir.
Interesting choice of songs though - and - the last song is Run With The Fox!

I received this Saturday. Its actually quite good. Love the contributions of both Chris and Steve Hackett. The recording of the choir was perfect. Often times choral albums tend to lose the singing portion, but they were up front and terrific.
