Cool! Haven't heard any weeds/boots of the latest tour yet. Saw them of course, but am yet to get hold of the FOABP tour. Silly question, does it come over well?
I was kind of disappointed by the album (played live). It lacked a lot fo the layering that makes the album good IMO. Still a good show, but I hankered after something other than the heavy chugging guitars after a while.
I am sure you know what I mean, even if you disagree.

Dave,
PM me your details and I'll do you a copy of the Bristol show - an absolute top notch recording.

Cool! Thanks Ed!
PM on its way.
PS. Are you up for coming to see either/or/both seYes and Fragile this autumn?
I am contractually obliged

And seYes is palying in Frome on the 30th November (a great addition to the Yes tribute circuit). I saw them in Bolton recently and enjoyed it immensely.
Just thought I'd mention it. We keep planning on bumping into each other at some point!
Cheers mate,
Dave

Re: What are you listening to when you log in here?
FOABP is more of a headphones, studio version listen. The Berklee Show from last October is the best FOABP live show I've heard and they play the complete cd in order to open the show. Then after intermission they do a regular PT show like they did for Deadwing. All the shows afterwards have FOABP mixed inbetween the regular PT songs which does not frame them well.
I've heard that Dream Theater's Systematic Chaos plays great live. I thought Deadwing played great live. Sounds like the folks talking about TFTO live vs studio from back in the day!....lol

"Crossroads"----Cream------this song is nothing but proof of the guitar and bass prowess possessed by both Clapton and Bruce respectively.

Re: What are you listening to when you log in here?
Saw BJ at a concert in Atlanta in mid 70's as "Piano Man" was hitting. The venue, "The Electric Ballroom"
Roger McGuinn of The Byrds opened...
Roger came on at 2am, Billy around 3:30am....
I doubt if BJ plays any more 4am concerts these days....

AC/DC--------"Hell's Bell's------from BACK IN BLACK
Yes, there is no question that AC/DC music is devoid of any musical complexity and no doubt bores the hell out of some. But, you see, it's the simple hard-driving down-to-the-core rock appeal that has always gotten me. From the very beginning, that bell leads into a crescendo of a rock tsunami that is just magnetism for me. Love it Love it!!!!

Collection Love is Blue ,
Europa label: "Love is All Around, San Francisco Sun, King's Road Rock, Lady Madonna, Hadin' [sic] Home"
A compilation I got off a dusty-vinyl download site for free. Cover has a naked blonde painted in psychedelic colors.
All rare vintage 1960s stuff. Think it's an Italian collection. Accented vocals or unknown singers. Great instrumentals, groovy chill lounge from decades past.

Shawn Phillips - "Second Contribution". Gawd, this guy is amazing... plays guitars (6 and 12 strings), but truly, his voice is his main instrument.

I stumbled on this guy quite by accident years ago (Faces) then I was at a party and saw the front cover of Second Contribution and immediately recognized Shawn's "hair". My goal at that point was to grow mine as long as his. By the time I graduated high school I had "exceeded" my goal (much to the displeasure of my parents!) Wow what a bygone era when parents were still "hung up on the length of hair!"
I think I have everything he has released on vinyl. Great musician, and your right his voice is unbelievable.
Oh and by the way "Wind and Wuthering" is playing.
